Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe good for small room. Kind a loud or maybe depends how it was installed. Still works so i guess it's good but better buy a warranty just in case.

Not a fan.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't know how this AC got so many good reviews because it definitely does not warrant them in my opinion. It turns the compressor on and off way too many times even in cool mode. It does not cool fast or cold and the thermostat on the machine is always about four degrees off. Would definitely not buy again. If not for Best Buy's 15 day return policy this item would be returned.

Supercool Air Conditioner!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After putting up with a 20+ year old Panasonic 5000 BTU air conditioner, I finally purchased the Frigidaire FFRE0533Q1. It not only gives me a much cooler experience, but it comes with a remote control and a timer. I can set my unit to switch on about an hour before I get home from work and the savings alone will pay for itself in a short time. Get this wonderful air conditioner. It is work it for your health and comfort.

Great A.C for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought this A.C. for my sons room and I must say it's perfect.. perfect size for a small bedroom, not too heavy I was able to carry it up 12 stairs, easy to assemble and once the room reached desired temp it shut off due to the energy saver.

Fast online delivery, Quiet Unit that Cools Room
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Saw this unit at a BestBuy store then ordered on line since it was $10 cheaper before 12PM on a Thursday. Was told it would be delivered the following Monday, then emailed that it would arrive the next day--great! Online system told me when to expect delivery, but came earlier--great! Install unit 3 weeks ago and it's quiet and cools my 120 sq ft room nicely on 90+ days quickly. The energy saver function is useful when your not in the room but want it cool. It's quiet as well with no rattling like my old Carrier air conditioner that died on me after 16 yrs. Only issue is that it's deep so it sticks out more from the window than the low profile versions that existed years ago. Overall, very pleased with it and my shopping experience from Best Buy.com.

Great value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great little window Air Conditioner. Easy to install (not too heavy), good instructions and fired right up. A little pause between power on and compressor kicking in, which was a bit disconcerting, but once up and running is cooling and dehumidifying well. I live in a well insulated older home, and will be finding out how effectively this little AC can cool approximately 300 sq. ft. with some fan supplement. I would recommend this to anyone that needs some relief from the heat and humidity of Ohio summers. Will be interesting to see how it handles 90+ F days.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.AC damaged on arrival. cracked casing, bent flanges. BestBuy return issue was miserable till I was able to find out I could take the thing back to the store even though purchased on line. bought another a/c not carried by Best Buy.

Good cooling performance for the money...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.(Annoying, as I can't change my moniker, I must tell you to "ignore it" every time I post a review...Best Buy, please let customers change monikers...this is becoming very annoying...# Anyway, let's begin. First, don't even bother with energy saver mode. It's utterly useless. Unfortunately, per government mandate #so claims a note attached to the air conditioner#, it starts in energy saver mode every time it's turned off--you'll have to press "cool" after turning it on #every time#. Why shouldn't you use energy saver mode? Set the AC to 68 and watch what happens--despite cycling the fan a number of times, the compressor will not activate until the room's ambient temperature is nearly 75 degrees! Further, the fan in an air conditioner uses a tenth or less the power than the compressor--you won't use significantly more energy in "cool" mode than "energy saver," anyway. Anyway, the unit cools well given its power consumption #470 watts on "low," when the compressor is on, says my Kill-A-Watt#, but the "low" fan setting is a bit higher #louder# than I'd prefer #it's older than my ten-year-old GoldStar was on "high"##. The compressor turns on and off quietly #often can't hear it at all#, and there are no other noises, minus a very occasional vibration, to speak of. Finally, the filter design is, well, not good. It pulls out to the side, and when the unit is mounted in a standard window, the filter has to be bent around the window frame to be removed. When attempting to put it back in #given that it's no longer straight#, it misses the slots that hold it to the front panel and rubs against the evaporator heat sink--so, the only way to get the filter back in properly, at least in my experience, is to remove the entire front panel #two screws at bottom of unit#. No big deal, as this has been the case with literally every AC unit I've ever used #does anyone think about filter design?#. On sale, it's a good buy that's worth the money #if you pay attention to the above-mentioned caveats#. Recommended!

Great, no problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Small, light, quiet (though I've heard the newer version is a bit louder), effective. My only complaint is the packaging--it's 5 sides of a box that slides down onto a base, so re-packed it would have to have strapping to hold it together. I'd rather store it (and eventually move) with it in its box, which isn't practical this way.

Extremely noisy!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this based on other reviews. After a week or so, it became really noisy. The directional grills started to vibrate. There are only two fan speeds, loud and loudly! Thank god best buy will exchange it. I will try exchanged unit but if the same, I will go to another brand. I also bought an LG LW8012ER. 8000 btu but very quiet. More expensive but worth.

beware of the rain
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using this unit when it's dry outside is perfectly fine. But, once it started raining, the unit channeled the water through the vents into our house.

Posted .Roba, thanks for taking the time to share your review. It does sound like you might need to check the install. Proper tilting of your air conditioner will assist with the water accumulation inside your air conditioner. If you see you are in an area with high humidity, I would recommend the use of a dehumidifier. Hope this helps! Kindly, Jennifer
