I was incredibly disappointed with this item. I was also incredibly disappointed with Best Buy's response to my call regarding the item's condition after I received it. The AC came with one of the vents in a broken condition. I mean, one of the vents, the left side one, couldn't be adjusted vertically, and it was difficult to turn the wheel as well. I assume that this meant the vent was broken and this was a new item. I would assume it was damaged in transit. I didn't realize this until AFTER I had spent nearly 2 hours installing it in my window. I was furious, as you can imagine. So I called customer support to complain. Their solution was to tell me to return it to the nearest retail location so they could start the process of sending me a new unit.... I DON'T THINK SO! Not after I had just spent 2 hours installing it... So then the agent tells me she will see if they could give me some store credit if I decide to keep the unit. After keeping me on hold for like 10 minutes, she tells me that the system will not allow her to issue me any credit...I was like whatever since at this point I just didn't care and decided to deal with the vent issue. However, now I am thinking it's more than that since the AC unit seems to be incredibly loud. I honestly don't know if this is how it is or if it was damaged. Buy it at your own risk. Honestly this was my first, and probably my last, purchase from Best Buy after the way my damaged purchase was was handled. Thanks for the experience Best Buy!

I'm not sure if its just my living room space (which is average), or it's defective but I can have it on for 3 hours and it doesn't get cool. It's good at removing humidity from the room, but it doesn't get cool at all .

I have had previous Frigidare products in the past and all have been good.

AC works perfectly definitely worth the money. I would recommend this A.C.

I am very satisfied with this AC. It's quiet, cools the room very fast. Also would like to say the Best buy in Yonkers was very helpful when I made this purchase. There customer service was remarkable!! Definitely will buy there in the future!!

I've been a fridigaire person for a while now and this is the worst one I've had by far. I replaced an old cheap 5,000 BTU that came with my apartment expecting an upgrade but this machine didn't do it. I don't need whisper quiet with my AC's, I actually enjoy a consistent white noise hum. This however has the annoying clicking sound. The cooling isn't really an improvement over the previous unit I had in this room. Quite a letdown.

I've been using this AC for about 6-7 years with no issues. I even leave it in the window during the winter. It cools my large bedroom with no issues.

We use this in an upstairs group of rooms. It's hard to cool upstairs rooms... But this A/C does the trick very nicely, and I like the automatic thermostat feature. easy to install...if you read the instructions.

I had read other reviews on this ac unit. One of the issues was that the thermostat was not accurate. Find that to be true. AC set on 66 will yield a temperature of 70. Like the eco mode. Runs only when needed. I dd not find that to be a problem. Very quiet motor, however as in other reviews that is lost by water hitting the condenser coils which I believe is supposed to happen. After my last ac unit which was louder than a freight train, I have no problems with it. Be assured you will experience the same things I did.

I bought two in preparation for summer, installation is easy and they're working well so far but we'll see how good they are when Texas summer hits and it gets up to 100 degrees outside

Very noisy. Sounds like mice chewing on Styrofoam. It cools fine, but when you are trying to sleep... Forget about it.
