So far the product has been working great, I bought this for my room and it keeps it cool all night to the point of really getting cold so I guess it does a great job. At day it takes a little bit longer to cool the room it does not get it that cold as it does it during the night but it does the job.

As the summer days approached I was looking for a wall unit that wouldn't hurt my wallet but would still keep me cool during the scorching days and nights. This was the perfect product for my needs. I haven't had an issue yet!

I went with this 6000 BTU model instead of the cheaper 5000 BTU cause I thought I needed the extra power to make up for the high ceilings I have in my bedroom. My room is about 13x12 and this thing cooled it down perfectly...it even got a little too chilly for me and I had to turn it down. The picture they have is inaccurate, the button panel is actually on the lower left hand side and not top middle. This comes with side panels, a remote and batteries, a start and end timer and even has an economy setting available. Also it's pretty small and easy to install.

Cooled our small house quietly and efficiently. Our 550 sq.ft. cottage had no air conditioning and after days of sweltering heat the temp inside was unbearable. Researched the net and determined that Frigidaire was the best for the price. Installing the unit was easy; we set the thermostat on 60 at 9 p.m., opened all the doors in the house and, amazingly, around 2 a.m. we woke up so cold we needed a blanket! The house stays comfortable by setting the timer for a few hours daily. This is the little air conditioner that could.

Best Buy was the only place in the city that had any air conditioners for sale after a recent hot spell. I was fortunate to find this one room air conditioner after my living room air conditioner quit. I ordered it on-line and picked it up in the store the next day. Service was quick and they had my air conditioner ready to go. I removed it from the box and had it installed in the window in 20 minutes. It is perfect for my bedroom. I was able to sleep during one of the worst heatwaves in Chicago history. Thank you Best Buy and Fridgidaire.

I can't believe FRIGIDAIRE did not catch this flaw this ac has. first of all it keeps the room cool, the problem is that it sounds like is drowning is so loud that iI also sleep with a fan on and the ac is louder than the fan. i can not sleep with this weird noise that it makes I checked to see if is install properly drainage, conection, are done properly.

Went to Home Depot thinking i was getting a great deal on a 5000btu for $99.. for my 13x13 bedroom..WOW was that a smack in my face and waste of my gas..went home plugged it in and 3 hours later after feeling no air i returned it!! Went to BEST BUY purchased a 6000btu and loving it to death. Im so glad i did it. The cold air just blew me under my covers.

Purchased this unit on a Friday and returned it by Monday. The unit is extremely loud and does not drain well. The water sloshes around creating an obnoxious noise when trying to sleep. It made sleeping unbareable. I turned it off during a humid night just so I could get some sleep. I exchanged it for a GE brand and so far so good.

I bought this air conditioner three weeks ago. This week it started making several weird noises. The first is a loud clicking sound, then came the the high pitched hum, finally the train whistle sound. All of witch are louder than the fan sound. This air conditioner is in my bedroom window, making it difficult to sleep. I called best buy to see about an exchange, since has only been three weeks. I was told I could only return it up to fifteen days after purchase. What happened to the thirty day policy? Best Buy you do not support your products, or customers, and for this reason I will purchase nothing from you in the future. I hope this had made you decide against buying this item. Thank you.

I purchased this air conditioner for my grandson's bedroom. He said it cools his room down in a few minutes. He said after a couple of minutes you barely can tell it is running. He would recommend it to anyone. It did not take no more than 45 minutes to set it up.

Cools a 13x12 room very efficiently, even on 'energy saver' setting. My only complaint is that the thermostat doesn't seem to work as it should. Unit doesn't kick on until it gets a few degrees higher then thermo setting. Otherwise good value for money.

Nice small unit easy to install nice features. Cools well especially if start while cool. If room hot it will take a while to cool it down.

Its not good for a bedroom if you are a light sleeper. Makes a lot of rattling noises, Its because of the vibration on the plastic cover on the front. sound like a bug zapper at times. When it kicks on from fan to Air conditioner. its a loud thump, like someone slapping your window. I had to put the extra foam that came with it in between the plastic frame and the metal. I'm in the military and slept through mortar fire but this thing keeps me up!!!

I bought a Frigidaire because I'd had great experiences with the last two I bought (one was for my mom, the other I lost in a basement flood otherwise I'd still use it). However this one is extremely noisy. There's an inconsistent clanging/gargling noise that is so loud I literally need to sleep with earplugs when I use it. I checked the manual and it listed several "normal" sounds that I can expect, but at this volume, I wish I'd never bought the unit in the first place. I'll consider another brand next time and possibly another store if Best Buy is content to sell this kind of junky AC.

I love the first one I bought because It cooled more than I expected it to. So I went back and bought a second one to replace an A/C that did not work as well....Now with the two A/C's my 4 house is now comfortable and we can sleep in the humidity.

But sorry, it doesnt perform well as other window ac units. I had a 5000 BTU window ac unit that froze the room. This doesnt. More then likely because on HIGH fan setting, the air comes out slow. High is more like low/med. But I must say, no rattles, very quiet, nice digital display w/ options, and it doesnt drip water on the outside. Overall, I'll keep it.

the compressor keeps cycling on and off makes too much noise If --U- R- a light slepper - U--will stay awake al night However if- U-can sleep thru thunder, lighting strikes and rocket attacks it should be ok

I brought it for my bedroom & it works just fine. Price wasn't bad & the set up was easy.

In a 10 x 14 bedroom, this is nothing more than a noisy fan....I cannot get the room temp below 72 regardless of the setting (which I have done correctly and following instructions). Any setting below 69, the fan not only does not cool, but it makes a scraping sound so the noise amplifies. I purchased this Memorial Weekend so the return policy has passed, but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT to anyone....I own 5 other window units that work just fine and thought I was buying an upgrade......wrong!

Just bought one of these after the local heat wave struck. Installed in less than 30 min total, with just a screwdriver. Heat outside was unbearable and HUMID. I have a small apartment (400sq/ft). I put this in the first room, and within an hour the whole room was getting frosty. Overnight, the entire place was very comfortable. Hums along all night with what I would call "standard" window air conditioning sound. Not overly noisy. Makes about the same amount of sound as a large fan on full speed. Nothing too obnoxious. Not ugly, and uses a standard wall socket for power. I didn't have to rig anything in the electrical panel, and this puppy kicked on without a hick-up. For a generously sized bedroom this AC is perfect. For the price this can't be beat.
