needed Dehumidifier for a chronically damp basement. This model was ready to go right out of the box. No set up needed. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was compared to my old dehumidifier.

I was previously using older style dehumidifiers, but I bought 3 of these after seeing how well one of them worked. It fills the bucket in less than 24 hours, which is a lot of water. Quality-wise it seems well made. I did notice that it cycles on and off frequently when it gets to the humidity level you have it set at. To prevent the wear and tear of that cycling, I added a timer (like you use with outdoor Christmas lights) and have it come on for an hour, then off for an hour. Hopefully that will help it last longer.

This unit pulls a lot of water, as intended. I set it on continuous run for the first night, and the next day my basement room (around 15' x 20' plus a 10' x 10' closet) felt like a dry desert. I set it to 40% humidity and now it feels great. The bucket is easy to remove and replace gently. It also has a little, red, floating ball in the water level window that I really appreciate. I did get this on sale for $199.00 which was a great price, plus I had $15 in bestbuy points, so I just had to jump on this purchase!

Installed dehumidifier in NC home... working just fine. It is much better than the previous dehumidifier purchased.

Easy to set up and get running right away! It took the musty smell out of our damp basement within the first 12 hours of running.

This dehumidifier worked extremely well in a basement. It very quickly brought the humidity level from 80 to 55 and is very quiet.

I bought this product to reduce the humidity in my home and it keeps it in acceptable range although I think it will probably take 2 to keep it in the green range.

Works great, is a bit noisy. Have it in the main part of the house and humidity went from 70 to 45 but it does run continuously.

bought this to replace a dehum that dies. this was the perfect choice. holds plenty of water (for our basement) and is super quiet.

Easy to setup and operate. I have setup to continuously drain. It auto-restarts when power is interrupted. Functions as advertised

My central AC system stop working and I saw the humidity in my basement increasing from 55% to 75% and start smelling strange. I run to BB and got this unit in a sale. I initially ised with the internal tank and it would shut down due to tank full in about 5 hours. This unit allows to use a hose so I connect it to the dehumidifier so the water removed from the air would go direct to a drain. In less than 24 hours the humidity was down to 50-55%. Not noisy but not that quiet. For a basement no problem at all.

Been running good. Just hope it lasts longer the my previous dehumidifiers. They weren’t this brand so I hope this is a good one.

I am extremely satisfied with my decision to purchase this dehumidifier. It's very quiet, and pulls the humidity from my basement with ease. My only disappointment,,,I thought it would shut off for a period of time once it reached the set humidity level. It shuts off very briefly, then turns back on. I called customer service, and they replaced the original unit. However, the second unit operates the same way. Despite this minor flaw, I'm still giving this unit a 5 star rating.

Our old dehumidifier in the basement died and mold and a damp smell began to grow. Within a few days of purchasing the Frigidaire 70 pint Dehumidifier the smell was gone. It was easy to set up and after a few days, once you set the humidity you wanted, you were done. One of the best features is the ability to attach a hose for drainage and you never have to empty the water collection bucket. Your done.

This dehumidifier has been effective to keep the humidity down in my basement. It seems to be well made and easy to setup.
