It needs to have some type reprogramming /design change for this feature(a delay function in the programming). It's frustrating to hear it go on and off after a few seconds over and over again. I would have given it an Excellent rating if this feature worked properly. Very disappointing - was there any research and development done when designing this product? It had great potential.

Pulls out moister, but loud and runs too often

However, the unit is on the loud side. And more troubling, it runs too often in my opinion. I believe that is a function of the hygrometer not being overly accurate. It will run, get down to the set humidity level, turn off for 1-2 minuted, then kick back on.

Posted .Hi, Jdag! Thank you for your feedback. This model has a sound rating of 53.4dB on the highest fan setting, or about the same noise level of an average conversation. The system will run when the humidity in the room is reading above the set percentage and turn off once the humidity is stabilized. If it is running too often or is frequently cycling on and off, we may need to ensure you have the proper size for your space. A 70-pint dehumidifier is suitable for very damp or wet spaces of 1,000 to 1,500 square feet. In a smaller space, the dehumidifier may cycle on and off frequently and have trouble getting accurate readings.
