But it does dehumidify very well but the fan gets locked on low so the cool air doesn’t blow very far.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this portable air conditioner 14,000 BTU (Up to 700sqf) to help keep my garage (<600sqf) not so hot during the summertime in Ohio. I tried to run the device as soon as I received, but it kept shutting down after a few minutes. After 24hours off, I could hear that the compressor "decided" to work, which was reinforced by the large flow (>0.5Gal/hr) of water condensation. I ran the device for 3 days and noticed that a chilly air was coming out, but it wasn't cold enough to bring the ambient temperature down. The final test for me, was when I noticed that we had a couple of days with mild outside temperatures (>75F) and in my garage with the door closed for 7hrs and the device running it was 86F. Trying to understand this conundrum, I noticed the venting hose was getting too hot. Searching for info, I found several videos that discuss the low efficiency and inefficacy of the portable air conditioners.
