I have had the unit for a little over a year and it died. No cold air comes out now. I reset the plug and tried all the trouble shooting. Now I get to pay a Frigidaire repair person to fix it. Do yourself a big favor and don't buy this unit! Very Disappointed!

I got this air conditioner thinking it would be better and cheaper than to get an in wall air conditioner. Ended wasting more money and time then expected bc the portable AC wasn’t worth it. It overheated after 3 days of use and made the apartment hotter than cooler.

I gived it a try but honestly will go back to the regular window AC’s This portable AC has no fan power my 1 year old baby can blow air more than this AC unit I’m sorry to be so sarcastic but this product there is no way People rate at even 4 stars

Tired of putting ac units in the widows, figure this would work out better. Very disappointed! Might work out better for a smaller room maybe 350 square ft. Went back to the window ac unit and very happy!

I'm in the south where it's above 100 degrees for 100 days a year. This machine was like throwing ice on wet cement. Useless, not strong enough to cool even one room.

This AC unit is so overrated. I had it in a 10X20 room and it couldn't keep up. There is no way this can do what it says it can do.

It has stopped working after having it for only two years. Very disappointing. Would not recommend.

We had high hopes for this product, but it didn't work as we thought. Blew out so much hot air and the duct got so hot we returned it the next day.

Leaked all over the floor. Used the drain tube and a garden hose and it still leaked. Returned it.

I bought several portable air conditioners to cool the lobby of our condominium while the main air conditioning system was being replaced. The lobby has a 12 foot ceiling and is about 1,200 square feet with a large glass window-wall and a lot of traffic through the front door. Cooling this large area is difficult in 90+ degree Summer days. This Frigidaire unit was one of the three that I bought and it has performed superbly. It is very efficient, reasonably quiet and seems very solidly built. Among the features I like are a nice remote control, three fan speeds, a good anti-microbial filter and the option to use it in fan-only mode. But what set this unit apart from the other two units I bought was that it can be set to swivel from side-to-side to better distribute the cool air. The only downside is that its airflow is not quite as strong (241 cfm vs 270 cfm) as the other two units I purchased. However, the Frigidaire unit was lower-priced and I don't think that most will notice the difference in air flow. Overall, I am very pleased with this air conditioner and can recommend it even to those who have unusually high cooling requirements.

We bought this when our AC unit was needing service and it was HOT. It’s amazing. It really gets the air cold. I’m so glad we have it as a back up

This AC is horrible. I bought the biggest, most expensive AC they had at the time (this one). This brand new 14k btu Fridgidaire blows half as cold and half as hard as my 6-year old 13k btu LG. I'll tell you what it does do well though, and that's DEHUMIDIFY. Ive had a few of these portable AC units, and never have I had one that needed a drain hose piped out of it, are you kidding me?! This thing would fill up a 3-gallon jug about every 3hours, while gingerly puffing mildly cool air. I swear the heat coming off the the exhaust vent was enough to overpower the pathetic cooling ability, and it seemed like the room actually got warmer. Also, the vent hose comes directed out the back of the unit, which prevents it from being pushed up against the wall and causes it to take up more space. (unlike my LG, where the hose comes out the top of the condenser unit in the back) It is rather quiet, and I like the oscillating vent feature - just to try to name a couple positives. *Pertinent Info* We are talking about first week of june in Massachusetts, not august in Florida here. Also, I am not a dunce. Please do not worry that I wrote this review while leaving the plastic wrap on the thing, or the vent taped shut. Rest assured the unit is set up properly and functioning at its ability. It just stinks.

Very cool working perfectly and not to much energy

If you were fretting over a dual hose unit vs single hose - don't worry. This single hose unit works wonders. Fan speed is great - it blows a lot of air forcefully. For AC mode - I did drain my unit with a hose - so not sure if it vents it out the exhaust or into the air as the one Q&A suggests. (I don't need anymore humidity living in the Swamp). Just be sure to follow general AC guidelines - box says 2 hours upright after tipping (although manual says 1 hour). If you do more than tip it say during delivery - consider leaving it upright for 24 hours.
