This unit performs great - cools our larger bedroom down in no time - however, you need to be okay with the sound it makes - silent, it is not. Personally I’m fine with sound since I usually sleep with fans going anyway.

The first thing I noticed was that after setting it up, it cooled for a few minutes and then the compressor shut off. The room was hot hence the reason for buying an A/C to begin with. Pretty much defeats the purpose of having an air conditioner if it won't run to cool the room it is in. You're probably ok if the room is already at "room temperature", but don't count on this unit if your room is already hot and you expect it cool the room. The next thing I noticed is that the fan must run continuously. There is no "eco" or "energy saver" capability. Moral: read the fine print; the specs did say "No" regarding energy saver. A less expensive unit I bought 7 years ago had this feature, but Frigidaire has not implemented it in their unit. Implication: this unit wastes energy and will wear out prematurely. It is truly disappointing that Frigidaire is not more conscious of energy conservation especially in a unit at this price. Also, nowhere to be found is the maximum temperature setting. The manual is silent on this. The store staff did not know either. One associate told me it was 99 degrees. It isn't. The exhaust frame that is to fit in the window is deficient in its properties to cope with the heat being exhausted by the unit. It warps and the exhaust hose becomes detached from the frame. This is simply a design failure. Frigidaire's customer service was also unhelpful. They could only suggest contacting a third party repair service. Finally, other units sold under less well-known brands offer better warranties than Frigidaire.

This is a real workhorse! Overall, it is cooling off an 800 square-foot apartment. While it takes a while to get the temperature down because of the size of the place (High ceilings too!) It works just great.

Wonderful unit is definately a workhorse. With the heat wave Ohio has had lately it’s been a life saver 1000 sq foot area cooled it down from 87 in my living room to 73 in a 12 hour span would recommend to anyone

This is a great item it works very very well I use it in my shop outside when it is hot out it cools down the whole shop I love it. I really recommend this brand it really works very well.

I got this during the heat wave and our central AC was broken. It is good enough for a small bedroom. It is really more as a upgraded fan than an AC unit. But, it was enough to keep the air flowing so we could sleep at night.

This was a great purchase. It helps in keeping the house cool. Wish the tubing for the air conditioning was a bit smaller. It takes a huge chunk of our window, but well worth the buy.

This is a great product because it keep the room cool and if you have a problem taking a heavy air conditioner out the window when winter comes. You will have know problem with this

We purchased this during the summer when our house's unit couldn't keep up with the heat outside during dinner get hot weeks. It does what we need it do we couldn't be happier.

So you’re considering a portable AC because central air is expensive and you don’t want an ugly window unit. Well, this was a little more than I had budgeted but it does the trick. I got this one because it says it cools up to 700 sq ft- but even keeping all bedroom doors open, using a system of fans, and turning its temp down to 60° it still only completely cools one bedroom. Even tho it’s “portable,” it still has to exhaust somewhere out a window (similar to a dryer vent.) you won’t be moving it around. Still - I give it 5 stars because my central air went out in Late june and I bought this and I’ve been fine since.
