For the price it is serving the reason for the purchase. . . to stay cool. I would recommend only after specifying the above mentioned defects. This item only for a specific buyer.

Not too powerful but does the job

If you are looking for something cheap that will keep you cool in a small room, then this is for you. It is a bit noisier than I would like. In the future I will switch for something stronger and less noisy.

Wonderful air conditioner

We have a very small apartment and it keeps the apartment cool enough. We also like the remote that comes with it. At night it is great to put it on sleep setting. We are quite happy with this air conditioner. It's small and has lots of power.

Doesn't Cool Well

For an 8000btu unit I would have expected an iceberg in the room. Not the case. I have to put it on high fan and set it to 70 to get the room cool. And that can take several hours. I'm not impressed

good product but poor customer service

Called manufacturer who sent out a repair man who promptly declared the top cracked due to a shatter impact. It actually cracked completely in half without anything on it. We had come home and it was just there without anything on it. It was a clean break with no spidering or any sign of impact. So long tory short 200 to repair a product that was technically under warranty. poor service from seller and manufacturer. I will not be buying another appliance from either.
