Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This air conditioner is SO noisy both inside and outside that I cannot believe that anyone would give it a review over one star. My neighbors have complained about the compressor whine (and I don't blame them!). I cannot watch TV while my air conditioner is on because I have to turn it up so loud to even begin to hear it that it is straight up RIDICULOUS. Plus the noise it makes is a high-pitch SCREECH. Also, it takes FOREVER to cool down my living room/dining room. HATE THIS AIR CONDITIONER WITH A PASSION! PUTTING IT ON THE CURB with a sign that says, "DO NOT TAKE FOR YOUR OWN GOOD".

I DECIDED TO UPGRADE TO 8000 BTU. I READ UP ON THE FRIDGIDAIRE + IT HAD GREAT REVIEWS + GOOD PRICE. I BOUGHT IT SEVERAL MONTHS AGO AND JUST PUT IT IN OVER THE WEEKEND, CAUSE NOW IT'S STARTING TO GET HOTTER OUTSIDE. THIS NEW A/C HAS 3000-MORE BTU'S THAN MY LG DOES.......WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK ! DOES NOT COOL THE PLACE DOWN AT ALL UNTIL AT NIGHT SEVERAL HOURS AFTER...THESE 'GOOD' REVIEWS ARE COMPLETELY WRONG ! WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY ! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR + DO-NOT PICK THIS A/C....TRUST ME IT IS GARBAGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
