To set a manual cook time, you should be able to simple press the desired time, then hit the Start key. For example, if you wanted to cook for two and a half minutes, you would enter 2:30 and press Start. But if you’re wishing to cook at a lower heat setting, you would enter your desired time and then press the Power Level key until the preferred power level is displayed, then select the Start key to cook at this setting. Delivery and installation was smooth efficient and cordial. Problem was it would burn the food directly below the emitter centered in the MW oven top, Exchange for new MW went easily, Best Buy was helpfull and willing to make things right, Delivery, installation and return are scheduled - fingers crossed.

Called Frigidaire and they offered to change the door but it will be with same matrial .. so it could happen again .. So i returned it back to bestbuy If u have electric stove top .. it will be probably fine .. if u has a gas real fire one .. the microwave won’t handle the heat

I'm coming from a $1000+ 8 year old Whirlpool which had every option, most of which were unused as I use the microwave mainly to reheat or defrost. This unit is very light, sheet metal is as thin as they can make it, makes me wonder how durable it'll prove to be. Features are great, 1-touch 30 second, 1, 2 & 3 minute cook times, easy manual programming & numerous sensor modes, 10 power levels, a good manual, and it has excellent lights on the underside. The unit is very quiet in operation, if you use the fan, it's much less noisey than the Whirlpool, so it seems pretty quiet to me. You can vent internally or externally, for the latter you flip the fan unit in the rear. Power is about equivalent with my old unit, which is good, that thing was 1200 watts. Boils a mug of cold water in 3 minutes.

Impressive, except for the lights

My biggest gripe is the lights, which are a terrible color, very sickly bluish. Also they are a non-standard part so you can replace them but only with special parts from Frigidaire. Please, how about just a miniature candelabra bulb so we could replace easily and with an alternate color? Other than that, the oven is very quiet, powerful enough, the stainless and glass are attractive and should be durable. I do wish it were easier to select a power level. You have to hit the power level button repeatedly, for instance if you want half power you have to hit the power level button five times to get to 50%. Why not just POWER LEVEL and then 5? Also, the sensor and special program buttons are more trouble than it's worth due to having to hit so many buttons to set those functions. I mean there is a beverage reheat function but isn't it easier just to hit the 30 sec (Start) - that's one button. Also good: hitting 2, then waiting to have the power come on for 2 minutes, etc. Nice. But until these ovens are smart enough to just sense exactly what's in the oven, how much, and it's current temp, the sensor and other stuff is just useless clutter.
