Big mistake-twice!

After return exchange, the 2ND day, loud, piercing cricket sounds remained & ice maker didn't work consistently. The nice folks at Best Buy online are helping me by trading up to the Samsung...great reviews for a QUIET, BETTER QUALITY fridge! Yikes, what a mess! Spend more-get more!

Loud and Cheap

While the fridge looks nice, there is a definite reason this is the cheapest counter depth. The drawers don't even have rollers and I can tell will eventually wear out the plastic. Plastic fittings within the fridge are not straight. Part of the water line can be seen in the inside of the fridge when it should be covered.

High Pitched Noise Constantly

It has nothing to do with the ice maker, my ice maker is hooked up properly. The fridge also freezes everything no matter if the products are towards the front or back. Buy this fridge and you'll feel tension in your home from the constant noise. If you call fridgedare they act like they never heard of the issue. Service said "that noise will never go away, the solution is to not buy a frididare" he replaced two parts and nothing changed. We are calling it a $1300 loss and putting it in the garage. Will never buy and of their products for the rest of my long life.

Nice at the start but horrid long-term

We had to replace the dishwasher after the third breakdown (it would have been cheaper to have replaced it right off). With the fridge, we had to get a pump replaced for the water dispenser, months out of warranty and cost $300 dollars. Since then, the water stopped working, but would randomly start working again, but at least it kept the food cold. Last night, the freezer stopped working. I've moved the food into the fridge side and have ordered a new LG. The cost to repair just isn't worth it, as it would be at least $500 and with the track record of this line of appliances, it would just be a band-aid.

For the price, it looks nice, but is louder than the 20 year old fridge i replaced it with. There is a mid to high pitch whirring sound the motor makes. I believe it is the compressor. I exchanged the first one thinking it might be a lemon, only to get the second and it was the same issue. I also adjusted the doors and i get liquid condensation on the top of the freezer door. If you want a sub par, cheap, counter depth fridge and you dont care about the noise, this one looks nice. Otherwise, buyer beware.

Pass On THis One

Had them come out and replace because of it and now the second fridge sounds worse than the first. As of today, after about a year of use, the freezer door opens every time you close the fridge door. Totally unacceptable. SO, the fix is (not sure how long it will work) is to place vaseline around the seal . . . grrrrrrrr and brrrrrrrr.

Posted .Thank you for sharing your review with us, Alex. I recommend double checking your door seals. To do this place a dollar bill between the body of your refrigerator and close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing it. If nothing is stopping the door from closing then your door gasket may need to be replaced. I hope this helps! Courtney

The refrigerator itself cracked on the inside bottom below the bottom drawer. The drawers cannot take more than maybe 2 - 3 pounds of food in them or cannot be opened. Do not buy this. I will not buy anymore their products.

Stop the ringing!!

The fridge constantly runs and sounds like a washing machine. On top of that, there is a constant high pitched ringing! This fridge is terrible!

Typically, the compressor operates at a higher pressure when first starting and the noise should disappear as the refrigerator continues to run and balance pressures. Modern, high-efficiency compressors operate much faster than older models. The compressor may have a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound. -Jennifer
