Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Gallery 5.4 Cu. Ft. range's fast heating speed and induction cooking capabilities, citing ease of use and quick cooking times as major benefits. However, some customers note that the cooktop is easily scratched and requires induction-compatible cookware. A few also mentioned concerns about the sturdiness of the bottom drawer. Overall, the positive feedback on cooking performance outweighs the negative comments regarding specific features.

This induction range and convection oven is the perfect combination for any kitchen. It can make tea in under a minute and cook a roast to perfection in 2/3 the time. A great stove at a great price!

We always had gas ovens and were dreading going back to electric when we bought a new house that didn't have a gas line for the range. We found induction ovens and cooktops and did some research.. They cook very similar to how gas does. Having owned this for a while now, I can tell you that the responsiveness from the controls is BETTER than gas. There are no fumes and you can stir the pots etc. without getting burned by heat coming round the outside of the pot because there isn't any. It's safe for my young children to be near and I never have to worry that they turned it on and didn't light it etc. I strongly recommend that you get the cleaning kit for the top. It makes it very easy to clean and it really isn't very expensive ($10 is what we paid for the entire kit)

    bad smell from this oven

Please do your homework when purchasing a Frigidaire induction range. We thought we had done ours before purchasing a model FGIF3061NF this past spring. Soon after installation we began smelling what can best be described as the acrid burning of electrical components whenever we attempted to use the oven. We were initially told the oven had to be broken in and the smell would go away, but it did not. Because it was 45 days after the purchase Best Buy could not help us and referred us to Frigidaire since we were under the manufacturer's warranty (they would have helped if we bought the extended warranty). Frigidaire refused to replace the stove and arranged to have it looked at by a local technician who could find nothing wrong but did notice the odor after we heated the oven for about 15 minutes. He ordered the replacement parts he thought would correct the problem, but then there was a problem getting the parts and it took a lot of arm twisting to get Frigidaire to step out of their comfort zone and finally ship the parts overnight when they were available...even after we had waited on them for a month. Once installed we thought the problem was solved but we began to smell the odor again and now that baking season has returned it is obvious we still have a problem. The smell actually burns our eyes and throat and we have to open the windows to use this range for any extended period of time (like cooking a pizza). I am a big believer in induction ranges but it appears we have a lemon and we are not looking forward to contacting Frigidaire yet again for a problem I suspect will continue, especially when the technicians we are sent know we have a problem but have no apparent idea how to fix it. Buyer beware.

    Nice range with design flaw

I bought this induction range after reading the great reviews, but it has to go back. It is designed with vents on the back that mean the range has to be 1 to 2 inches out from the wall to accommodate the vents. It looks funny to have a range stick out from the wall and not align with the backsplash. Also, the range came with 2 dents, the bottom drawer was misaligned and hung crooked, and I cannot open my dishwasher because the vents force the range out too far. It has to go back and I'm disappointed because I had measured meticulously and I was excited to try induction.
