Customers are saying

Customers commend the Gallery 5.7 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Convection Range for its convection oven, ease of use, and attractive stainless steel design with multiple burners. Positive feedback also highlights the range's competitive price and numerous features. However, some users express concerns about the quality and size of the warming drawer and find the cooktop challenging to clean thoroughly. The overall experience is largely positive, but potential buyers should consider these aspects.

The outside top rim gets extremely hot when using oven. And, after it is turned off it stays extremely hot for over 45 minutes. I dislike this range tremendously. I also did not get the third shelf for the convection oven.

Hello, jamey! I hate to hear that you are not happy with your range. Please use caution after using the oven, as the vents for the oven will cause the surface temperature on the cooktop to rise. The specification sheet for this model indicates it is only shipped with two racks. If you have purchased an additional rack, please reach out to the retailer directly for assistance. ~ Brandi Frigidaire

Worst stove ever. Top never seems to come clean even after multiple tries. Frigidaire Customer service is awful.

This is my second purchase of this oven! I've had my first one for over 6 years! :) I bake a lot and my range has been very faithful! I bake about 75 loaves of bread a week for 7 months out of the year... This convection oven bakes my artisan breads perfectly! I'm getting a new one because it's on sale and now I'll use both of them to bake with! It's a great value for the price!

I love the Frigidaire Gallery look so when I needed to replace my fridge, I decided to replace all four appliances with the Gallery Line. We are very pleased with the Fridge, Dishwasher and Over-the-Range Microwave. The range must've been designed by a totally different team. As much I wanted matching appliances, I bit the bullet and sent back the range. The storage drawer is difficult to open and close, and does not hang right. Over the weekend, I went to several appliance stores and opened the storage drawer on every Gallery range that was on the floor. Regardless of price point, none of them opened smoothly and most of them hung crooked. This is poorly designed. When you close the oven drawer the whole unit rattles. This is not true of other brands in the same price point. The Gallery line ranges have a cheap feel to them that is not evident in the fridge and other appliances. Reluctantly, I went to BestBuy and had them swap the Gallery for a Samsung which is much better unit. We gave up a matched set for a better range. BestBuy was very good to deal with through this whole thing.

This stove looks great in my kitchen, works way better than the twelve year old stove that it replaced. I love the convection feature and the smudge resistant stainless steel.

I've had this range for a year and here's my experience after I bought it for the name "Frigidaire" and the looks. 1. It is seriously defective as the front door of the oven seems to have an invisible space between the two glass panes that make up the door and allows any liquid spilled from the top of the range or even when you are putting things in the oven to get between the panes and dry up leaving horrible streaks that cannot be accessed and cleaned! The drawer at the bottom is "rickety" it seems flimsy and as a result I have never used it to store pots or anything else for that manner and it does not close with ease it needs to be shoved but I am afraid it will dent or something when I close it, so I don't use it in order to preserve the looks. 3) As an experienced cook I was dismayed to find that the oven did not seem reliable as to how it heats up in comparison with the 6 other range/ovens I have used in my life. In fact it doesn't brown evenly - no matter what I do (even considering the use of the convection feature. 4) It has only been a year and despite efforts to use all the range top sections some sections already look used (the way a 10 year old range would look) even though we use the approved range top cleaners! I feel that item #1 is an essential defect in this product and cannot recommend that anyone buy it. I bought it because I had a tight space to put it in (older house) and they had the right width and because it was a Frigidaire - I feel I made a big mistake.

    Scratches on glass

I just received my stove a couple of days ago and have only cooked on it ONCE. The glass top already has a few scratches on it. I don't get it! My pot did move around a little bit as I was stiring but not to scratch the glass top. Not sure if I'm going to keep this. Any suggestions on the scratches?

Hey Madeline, thank you for your review. I understand that you are experiencing some concerns with your cooktop. I would recommend using a smooth top cleaner to create a protective coating on the cooktop surface. Hope this helps! -Jennifer Frigidaire

    It's going to the dump!

We have had this range for a little under a year and are replacing it with another manufacturer's model. Boiling water, in large or small quantities takes forever - at least 25 - 30 minutes for cooking pasta. It is impossible to simmer any item in any size pan on any size burner - they all boil even at the lowest settings. The oven takes an enormous time to preheat. And when the preheat signal sounds, the oven is not at the set temperature. Even when we managed to get the oven to the correct temperature the it would not stay consistent, increasing sometimes as much as 20-30 degrees above the set temperature. Baking results are very inconsistent and have to be watched constantly in order to not over bake. The storage drawer under the oven is extremely flimsy - with a few pots in the drawer it has to be jiggled up and down in order to close it. The drawer opening and closing is not smooth at all. The convection fan is loud. The service company utilized by Frigidaire came out and basically told us that the range was operating normally and that "all the new ranges" are like this - and did nothing to address our complaints. We should have stayed with our 30 year old GE P30 range. Unfortunately, we discovered all these problems past the two-week Best Buy return date.

    Nice convection cooking

Convection cooking speeds up the cook time and has no heating element below to get in the way of cleaning. Also has quick boil burner which does boil faster.

    Wished I Never Bought It

I generally don't write reviews and Was so excited to get a convection stove for my new home but now I am deeply disappointed and wished I never bought it. Oven will not bake correctly. Burns outside and leaves inside of foods very under cooked. I've tried following the manual to adjust the temperature but that didn't help. Put it back to the factory pre-set and just lowered the temp - still burns bottoms and tops not as done. Baked a loaf pan cake and it looked overly brown on outside. I inverted it so it could cool and when I checked on it a few minutes later the insides had run all over the counter (it had baked for an hour). Stove appears to heat up extra hot. Had a Frigidaire service call and the guy said that's just the way they are made and he has heard many complaints about the same problem I'm having. Said there was nothing he could do about it and left. Was here maybe 15 minutes. Said I would just have to adjust my cooking times or temperature. I've never in my life had this kind of problem with any stove - new or used. Been cooking for over 50 yrs. So if this is a known problem why does Frigidaire still make this model??????????????? Why does Best Buy sale it. Definitely don't waste your money on this model !!!!!!!!!!!!!
