Hayao Miyazaki - enough said. His work is fabulous

A sweet, affecting story from Studio Ghibli. Still magical despite not having fantasy elements.

One of the more average films in the Studio Ghibli anthology, but still a very good movie.

It's a fun movie to watch! There are some twists and turns, but it's a nice simple movie.

A okay. Except for the fact that the audio mix doesn't gel with my surround system. So weird.

My son picked out this DVD and he really liked it.

The DVD itself skips. I bought the same one somewhere else with the same problem so we kept it because we are able to manually return to the spot that skips and tired of running around town.

I watch it because I like the artist but this movie was boring with no extra exaggeration of the picture. Just a simple love story and that why it gets 3 out of 5.

The sound on the bluray player didn't include dialogue. I tried several other Blu-ray Discs and they worked fine so I attempted to play the movie several times, all to the same effect. Luckily the DVD worked fine. The movie is not one the magical fantastical sort studio ghibli is known for but a sort of melodrama period piece. It's worthy of something to have on while you have other stuff to do.

Enjoyed the human story of this anime and the animation was nice.
