Good camera for taking in the pool or to the beach.

This camera is great. It does everything I expected it to do with ease. However, the pictures it takes after being in the water sometimes come out distorted. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Our daughter received this as a Christmas gift 2015. She dropped from her pocket on a walk (so it did not fall at an extreme distance or hard) and needless to say it fell apart. Thank goodness for Best Buy's warranty program. It was beyond repair so she got a new one just in time for her summer long job. She used it one time around the house and the paint was already peeling off. Then she used it one week at her job and went to take the memory card out of the housing unit, the button that you push in to open the camera went flying off and the door was unable to open. Once again it can not be repaired. Not sure that we want to try another one. It takes great pictures as she was able to download the pictures using the WiFi feature, however the videos would not download. The app for downloading is not very user friendly.

Make sure to familiarize yourself with the camera before you try to use it underwater for the first time. It has different modes to used. Great pictures, very good quality under water images. Very happy with my purchase.

I don't like that this camera does not have a lens cover. Has anyone experienced that it scratches easily? I just got this camera. I want to use it mostly for hiking since it is shock proof and weather proof . I hike a lot in the cold. I also don't like that close up pictures are blurry. People complained about the battery cover. I don't see a problem with that.

I exchanged this for the Olympus TG-870 and I am glad I did. The quality of this camera is just horrible. From the picture, video, low light and the sound quality from the video. Don't believe me? Buy this and the Olympus and see for yourself.
