not economical for little kids

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not impressed with this camera...the quality of the photos is less than stellar, the photo paper is TINY, and the refills are expensive. Every picture my son has taken is grainy and the color is washed out. Make sure your subject is sitting stock still or you won't get a decent picture. Once you get past that, you need a magnifying glass to even see the pics because the paper is about 1.5"x2.5". Then, my kids blew through 2 packs of film in one day playing with it. I got a stack of useless pictures...blurry, out of focus, random shots. My 9-year old loves it but probably isn't old enough to use it without breaking my bank in the process. He just snaps away until there is no film left. Now, it sits in a drawer unused because I refuse to buy more film for pictures that are pointless. It's a novel and fun idea, but not made for younger kids. Give it to a teenager and, hopefully, you won't go broke buying film.
