Good camera but just not much use

Does provide her with instant pictures instead of waiting for development if that matters to you in this digital age. Film is expensive and a child will not understand that downside. Might be enjoyed more by someone with a more specific use. Don’t know if I would buy again after having it. More of an expensive novelty with little long term charm. The selfie mirror is of little to no use.
