I've bought this camera in Q3'2017 as I've required a compact camera that I can't bring everywhere with me (it's difficult to do with the typical DSLR). Fujifilm X100F offers incredible image quality, body design, and portability. Also, there's no necessity to shoot in RAW as in-camera JPEG processing is amazing.

    My First Mirrorless

I made the leap to mirrorless recently even though I still love my DSLR, mainly because I like the capabilities at the size. I heard nothing but high accolades for the 100F, and have been told it is leaps and bounds better than the 100T. It's not super fast, but that's not what it's for. It's sharp as a tack, but it can get overexposed when shooting in lots of light wide open (this could be my own fault, but I don't think it is). The f/2 aperture is powerful, and it shoots clear while capturing lots of color at night. When shooting up close you can also get a decent bokeh in the background. I'm headed to Vegas in 2 days and will use this quite a bit on the strip so I will definitely come back and update this review!

I had a lot of hesitation before purchasing this camera because I own three dSLR full frame cameras. I was traveling and needed a high quality camera that could produce high quality images but didn’t want to haul around 10-30 pounds worth of equipment. This camera exceeded my expectations! It was perfect and didn’t have much of a learning curve if you are a professional photographer. Even if you don’t know much about photography, the automatic setting works pretty well. Overall, I am extremely happy with the results and have ZERO regrets making this purchase!

I haven't gotten to play around with this camera as much as I'd like yet, but so far I love it. As a moderately advanced-level hobbyist photographer, I LOVE having so much control (I shoot manual on my d-slr). I also love the "vibe" of this camera - it looks and feels like an old film camera, but functions with all the wonders of modern technology. I'm looking forward to further exploring all the versatility of this great camera!

I’ve owned many Fuji cameras. My favorite were always their rangefinder styles cameras. I had to get rid of my X-Pro2 and decided to get the X-T3 since Best Buy had yet to stock the X-Pro3. After pairing my X-T3 with a XF35mm, I found that I didn’t enjoy photography for the sake of photography anymore. I had completely written off the X100F until I dove head first into the review world and every single person said it brought the joy back into their photography. I bit the bait and went for it. I absolutely love this camera. I ALWAYS want to grab it. If you enjoy photography and the Fuji nuances, then look no further. This is the camera for you. Specs be damned. I will keep this camera for years to come. I plan on making this my main working camera and have no doubt it can handle the work.

This is an interesting camera for street photography and portrait photography, especially when the lighting is low. It provides excellent color. However, it is not a camera for nature photography as the colors need to be adjusted all the time, most likely because they are optimized for portrait. A major annoyance is the number of buttons. There are too many. They all can be customized, which is fine, but you need to remember what is doing what, and then you discover that if you use some options, your initial choice you made no longer works. For example, if you choose Raw, the option to use the focusing ring to zoom digitally (which is an interesting option) does not work. But it takes time to find that this is why the digital zoom does not work! Another major shortcoming is that it is too easy to hit a button, which triggers an option, which then had to be cancelled. This is especially the case of the quick menu button which one hits all the time. I guess that overtime one would get used to it. Overall, I am a bit disappointed by this camera. It is overpriced for what it offers. I have used in the past film rangefinders, which are so much easier to use and DSLR, which works much consistently the way you intend them to work. With this camera, the settings change too easily. Too bad, particularly in view of price of this camera.

I have two comments about purchasing this camera. First, it does what all the pro reviews say it does; that is, take wonderful pictures in an all in one and very compact format without a need to pack much else besides the camera. Two, I cannot recommend spending $1,299, plus whatever for accessories, for this gear simply because just about every other camera is just as good, and allows interchangeable lenses, and some in this price range have 4K video, too. But, the retro styling and small size may tip the scale for you, it did for me. There is a lot you can learn with this camera, both about the camera and about photography by using the camera. I feel like I should get a trench coat and felt hat and hit the streets looking for the next big headline. It's that kind of feeling. You may enjoy it, too.

I bought this camera to have something light but still good to travel with. While it won't be replacing my professional rig for most purposes, it is a great step up from a cell phone for vacation shots and even some natural light portraits. Pros: - Great in natural light/good lighting. - Super portable. - Full manual control. Cons: - It struggles a bit in low light/at high ISO. - The focal length was a bit wide for me, so I bought the 50mm adapter. - Not the best in high-speed situations. If you're used to a DSLR, you might feel like you're "missing" some action shots (kids playing, etc.). Overall: Great combo of form factor, image quality, and price, especially for travel/situations where a bigger camera setup isn't as ideal.

This is an amazing camera. The build quality is fantastic and if you're into manual shooting, this camera is definitely for you. It's not really for sports or spur of the moment grab shots, but for pics where you want to take your time and create an artistic photo. The downsides are 1) the fixed focal length, so if you don't want to use your feet to zoom, it's not for you 2) leaf shutter - the parameters of shooting with a leaf shutter take some time getting used to, but it's a bonus if you shoot often with flash 3) no IS - neither inbody nor optical. The fast aperture helps, but not in all situations.

Outstanding Camera, the image quality is amazing and the high ISO quality is outstanding. The camera is a blast to use. The ISO dial looks AWSOME but it's not practical, it's kind of a pain to get it to do what you intended because of having to pull up on it while turning. The dial become ubstrusctted when you mout a flash to the hot shoe.

I bought for my wife who loves to take photos of my son. She said it gives nice photo expressing my son lovely. She used GR-2 of Ricoh and said X100f showed much better photo than GR-2. The one thing I dont like is its shutter sound. It makes the high-end camera like a cheap one.

Was afraid of being stuck with 1 focal length but you adjust. Size is great. Nice jpegs. If wearing on strap, settings changed constantly due to external controls. Focus point knob got sticky in cold weather. Didn’t use ovf as much as I thought. Overall great camera.

I wanted to move away from a traditional DSLR so I can actually take it with when I travel. This was the right move. Recent trip to California, proved to be worth every penny. Easy to turn on, ready to go, hit the shutter, and click... Beautiful picture. Definitely like the tactile feel of the levers. This camera has converted me to Fujifilm, and has definitely sold me on the mirrorless platform.

This is my second Fuji camera from the X-Series platform. This is much improved over the X100S. In short, the camera is very easy to use and picture quality is excellent. This is a great walking camera...just place in you bag and go. There are tons of reviews online that will give you better insight than i can. Much better than lugging around the DSLR, let alone the gear.
