Not that durable for a outdoor camera

A few years ago I bought a Fuji XP50 for a outdoor use camera and it worked great so I decided when I needed a new outdoor camera I would try Fuji again. The quality of pictures were good, but what I'm disappointed in is that the camera isn't as tough as it was advertised to be. The camera is said to be shock proof up to 5.8 ft but after it took it's first drop of only 3 feet out my pocket the camera no longer works properly. I must say I'm disappointed because the older model took multiple drop over the years and never had a problem.

Battery life was very short. After fully charging camera for first time out it ran out of battery n the middle of a four hour scenic hike in a national park that we traveled 2500 miles to see That really sucked. Otherwise, decent little camera

    Do Not Waste Your Money

The camera looks good... that's about all I can recommend of this product. There is significant delay between focusing and when it actually releases the shutter, I mean, a good 2 seconds. Nearly impossible to get a picture of anything moving anything faster than perfectly still. But even then, capturing an image of perfectly still stuff in almost laughably poor for a camera that supposedly boasts 16.4 megapixels. Nothing has any discernable sharp edges. All images, whether in day or low light, using flash or not, is just a garbled mess of fuzzy edges and digital noise. The front-facing camera on my phone takes sharper images. Completely unimpressed. Returned the product two days after purchase. I cannot recommend this product.

I have not tried the underwater features yet. The pictures i have taken were very nice. I took a bit of work to get the pictures to send to my phone through the app but it did eventually work.

This camera has survived a year with 2 toddlers, oceans, sand, splash parks, extreme heat & cold and still looks brand new! The only negative is you really have to watch the lens, I often have smears from sunscreen, dust, etc. And end up with less than stellar photos. I've found that the photos will look great on the screen, but when I upload them they are not as clear.

    Need waterproof housing

Used it once for snorkeling and it worked fine. The second time I used it for a snorkeling trip it got water damage for no reason. Quite expensive for a disposable camera, but if I got waterproof housing with it, probably would be usable for a longer time. I now use a Hero 3+.
