I've had a digital HD copy and just watched my new 4K disc yesterday. The video upgrades are a step up. HDR does have some benefits here. The opening scene with the sun is blinding, and the dirt and grit on faces were noticeably more detailed. The audio is fairly decent, with the low end being the highlight for me. The tanks rolling around in specific scenes create a lot of low end bass for your subs. Surrounds are excellent with the tank shelling, especially when the tank shells are skipping across the ground or ricochet of the other tanks, and bounce across the room. I didn't notice much overhead sound, only when an occasional plane fly's overhead.

really enjoyed the story of this film. the four main actors had amazing performances.

Excellent flick...was even better with the 4k toshiba television I purchased recently.

Got it just in time for Memorial Day and the anniversary of D-day. Entertaining movie.

I don't care what you personal feelings are about Pitt, the guy is a super actor. What's great about this film is he's not the one that's steals the show. I haven't seen anything this good since Defiance. This will go down as one of the greatest war movies of all time. In my opinion the acting and the intensity was every bit as moving as Saving Private Ryan. The cast... I mean every single person on stage was solid. There were no mini B performances here. As I type this I'm trying to recall a war movie that I liked in recent history as much as I like this. Anyone that's gives this a bad review most likely has an agenda. Don't be that person. Watch Pitt at his best and let the judging up to someone else.

What a story! I guess I'd be better served by commenting on the stellar acting and the cinematography and special effects. Suffice it to say they are on a par with the best movies of the genre ever. But the story is what got me. There were a few minor "Hollywood flaws" but overall this movie reminds us of the bravery and suffering many have experienced for those of us in this free country. Finally, I highly recommend the blue ray version over the DVD version as it has the deleted and extended scenes. There were a couple of these scenes that should have been included in the final cut of the movie as they really tied some of the dialogue and decisions together. This movie is highly recommended viewing.

Great War movie,excellent scenes with tanks very good picture and sound in 4k

I immediately grabbed this movie in 4K, it looks and sound amazing on a surround sound system. During each battle scene you could hear each shot and explosion in great detail. I don't want to give this story away or ruin anything for anybody who hasn't seen this movie. All I have to say is this is a must have for your physical media collection..

Watched my blu ray copy a few times and thought the movie was good, but the quality felt lacking, and didn't find myself wanting to watch it anymore. After reading reviews which touted the great pq and Dolby aq, I bought the 4k and was amazed at the difference, its like a whole different movie, more fun to watch with such a great picture. There are some scenes where the dolby shines and is worth the upgrade on that alone. The 4k makes you feel like you are right there with them in the tank

Great movie if you like war movies. Brad Pitt is believable in the part.

War movies are the best when done right! Action packed! Loud and banging!

The 4K transfer looks excellent. The movie itself is very good but not great.

Epic tank movie. It's a fictional story, but the real star is the Sherman "Easy Eight". Movie has a lot of "Hollywoodized" fight scenes that, while the fights wouldn't generally happen that way, they bring up the issues tankers had to face and the different types of combat that did happen (tanks vs. troops & anti aircraft guns, tanks vs. tanks, tanks vs. troops with only hand and shoulder fired weapons and tanks vs aircraft(I.E. hide quickly). It's more about what you have to go through and the situations you could encounter fighting from inside a tin can. This movie has one of the only running Tiger 1's in the world, if nothing else, watch it for that.
