When previews first started airing for this movie, I immediately did not want to see it. I'd already seen the first Transformers movie and rather enjoyed it, but there was something about the G.I. Joe movie that just didn't sit right with me. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that a lot of the action scenes looked as if they'd been copied from Transformers, or perhaps it had something to do with all the horribly cheesy acting that that reeked like month-old limburger. Either way, against my better judgement, I watched the film on Netflix, and I really wish I hadn't. If you were like me and absolutely loved the old G.I. Joe cartoon when you were a kid, do me a favor and avoid watching this movie at all costs. Even if you can watch it for free, the cost is too high, and there's no way to get that time back. It's hard to pinpoint what's so awful about this movie because...well, pretty much EVERYTHING about this movie is awful. The plot, the acting, the action, the dialogue, it's all terrible.

No where near the expactations I had. You think that the name G.I. Joe, and you expect a great movie with detailed fight scens and weapons. The overall movie, is a little corny, and pretty lame. I had trouble concetrating on the movie. I do not recommend it on Blu-Ray. Buy it on DVD or rent it tops!

GI Joe is an OK movie. There is alot of action in the movie and some great digital effects but the plot isn't very well explained and the acting leaves much to be desired. This is one movie that is not worth watching.

I bought the movie because I liked the preview. But it is pretty much it. There is not much plot. Acting is poor. Special effects are so so. Overall, not worth buying.

Once again, a childhood icon has been destroyed by Hollywood. Why is Cobra Commander a putz in this film? Destro is believable, but other Joes like Waynes Ripcord is absolutely AWFUL!!!. This could have been a decent film, but the writing is garbage. Again, this isnt as bad as Transformers 2, but seroiusly, this film is terrible.. DO NOT BUY!!!!

It is shot beautifully. There are lots of vibrant colors. Movie is a little childist for my tastes. I had to turn off after the first hour in which I hoped it would get better, it never did. Buy only if you are a true fan.

I can't think of anything that was great about the movie... maybe the outfits... but everything else was bad. A waste of money.
