    I have had this external drive for less then a year and it suddenly stopped working. Apparently something went bad with the internal power supply in which won't start the drive. So I currently cannot access my data. I will have to pay for a data recovery service to access my data. I am still looking into all my options including returning it.

    This drive has earned the honors of being my most unstable drive. It works, but once in a while it disappears. In all fairness, this could be a problem elsewhere in the system, but none of my other drives disappear no matter which USB port they're plug into.
