found this on clearance and was a good deal for the money

I heard about the G-Drive is a pretty drive overall especially for video editing. So I had to see it for myself. So far, it work great for what I need.

Nice external drive with a small form factor. I use it for backups!

Works for me. Does what I want it to. Very sturdy build too.

Had to find and install drivers. For a non-tech person, this was a pain. Also, the USB port looks like it is for a Mac and not the univeral port for phones or PCs... pain. Otherwise, if you can cope with these two issues, it does what it is supposed to.

I don't recommend these drives they're very prone to failing in my experience. They require more software to run in windows. In mac os they run even more poorly. CS seems to want to take their time fixing an issue. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Salesman sold me this and wasted a weekend trying to get it to work. Researched and got tech help and found out it does not work on my computer very dissapointed . Next salesman sold me the proper item not reccomened unless you use a Mac

Maybe we just got a lemon, but we could get no computer to recognize the device to allow for storage. We tried Apples and Dells, laptops and desktops, but none could recognize the device.

Even thought this product works fine, it takes a long while to be detected by the latest model MBP. I’m pretty sure this device will give up sometime soon.

This was a good hard drive until it broke less than 1.5 years after buying. Thought I was getting a premium drive. At least it died a slow death so I could make sure it was backed up.

I thought it would be easier to use. I used it with my Mac and I can’t tell if my stuff is in the drive.

this was a disappointing purchase about this item thinking I was going to be able to transfer my important documents on to it and it didnt Work.

This is an awesome drive. Fast drive with the USB-C to USB-3.0 cable with 7200 rpm drive compare to the 5400 rpm drive. I bought it for my Windows Computer because the other version was out of stock. Well of course it didn't work as per the views. So, I went to the website to download the format wizard which is available to download. Works great. Running very fast when transferring files. Small and convenient for travel. I bought a case for the drive and cords. Great combo for my computer needs. I give it 5 stars. Recommend to a friend and planning on buying a bigger drive.

I love this drive. I average write speeds of about 110 - 115 MBps and up. Windows users be warned. You must reformat the drive, but it is super easy.
