I easily reformatted it for windows by going to the g tech website and 3 minutes later I was transferring 256gbs from one drive to this one. I love it, the only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is the build feels a little heap. Wish it was a nice smooth cold metal. This feels like metal with a plastic coating. Other than that, it's great.

I have an older iMac, last quarter 2011, and it still runs well but one of my concerns before upgrading is losing any data, pictures etc...this has me a bit more at ease!

It was very easy to set up and the transfer rates are impressive to say the least. I would recommend this product especially for Apple users.
