So it works as it should. But is so bulky and definitely regret buying it. Only purchase if you have a desktop and you literally never want to take it off your desk.

Sleek looking external drive. Well made and has that Mac feel to it. Looks great sitting on top of my MacPro.

I love this hard drive. I use it to store my FLAC music files, which are huge! The data transfer rate is much faster than my previous hard drive.

Works great - plug & play, comes already formatted for Mac. Nice design and form factor, though more expensive than similar drives from other brands.

I've had this drive for about one year. I use it to back up my Macbook Pro via TimeMachine. Ive had no issues so far. Very fast transfers and very quiet.

This is a nice drive that allows a very fast transfer rate. Normally I am a Western Digital person but the specs for this drive we're so good I had to give it a try and I'm glad I did!

It's a nice drive, good price point. I also like the fact that the USB-C cable also doubles a a power cord. What I'm not sure about is that during large transfers the drive makes these strange squeaking noises.

Bought it to connect to my Apple time capsul to use as a network HD, good drive but goes to sleep mode and doesn’t wake up automatically and doesn’t appear in my network u less turned off then back on.

I have had this for almost a year and it has been very fast and reliable. I like this brand because it is built well and the metal case disperses​ heat well.

Bought this as the primary storage drive for my new iMac. USB-C delivers super fast data transfers with Mac.

The product works great, the only complaint I have is that the dimensions that were listed online were completely off. I was expecting the product to be much smaller, and more easily portable, than it actually is.

The encryption process is painfully slow and took several days to complete. Once that was complete the hard drive function has been fast and easy to use.

excellent worked as advertised.I also like the led lighting on front. looks really good well use especially at night time.

I have purchased two to backup my videos and photos and it has been awesome! Works well but delete the software installed with it.

I watched U-Tube instructions as the instructions that came with the device were minimal. My iMAC did not recognize it; I think that I might have messed up my Time Machine on the iMAC, and will need to contact the Geek Squad. I admit that I am not technologically bright. It's not that I think that the device is of poor quality or would not recommend, however it's not as easy as advertised. I am not clear about how to rate since the problem is more me. I hesitated installing due to being fearful of the above. At this point I can't really say whether or not I would recommend.

I picked this up to replace a failing Seagate and it’s worked phenomenally! I have other G-Drives and they all seem to perform better than anything else.

When it comes to an external you want to make sure it won't disappoint you by you losing your info over time. Reliable product.

This is a really good external hard drive. G-Tech is one of my favorite brands of external drives.

This is definitely a 5-STAR! Much better than my poorly designed Desktop Seagate that is constantly falling over.

Works great. No issues at all. Downloaded everything I wanted and looks cool while doing it.
