It's a nice size to carry anywhere - easily fits in my MacBook Pro bag's pocket. The USB 3.0 speed works well with the latest Macs, but still works fine at USB 2 speeds with older Macs. I do miss a FireWire connection for use with older Macs, and the price is a little high, but it is still an external drive worth getting. It is the brand I recommend to friends, and I really like being able to walk into a Best Buy and just pick one up.
