Get ready to binge watch. This series is Awesome!!

I won't say much about the series itself as its acclaim can speak for itself. But this specific release on Blu ray, which comes in a slim plastic case rather than the more bulky cardboard case, is marked as being the same standard Blu-ray release that came out in 2013 with the DTS-MA soundtrack. That's what Amazon says, that's what blu-ray.com says, that's what the packaging says. Yet when I opened it up and put the discs in my blu ray player, I discovered that I had the new release with the Dolby Atmos (True HD 7.1) soundtrack. So either this is a mistake during packaging, or the cover was mis-printed, either way it was a very pleasant surprise. And even without the upgraded soundtrack, the slim case and reduced price are well worth the investment if you don't already own this season.

I bought all the seasons at once when I saw that the standard versions went on sale at less than $30 a season. If you enjoy fantasy and gore and love and hope and seeing how people choose to survive in rough times- no matter what the social status is- you will fall in love with this show. It's pretty fast paced and takes a lot of focus to watch and understand all the varying story lines but they all tie into each other eventually somehow. Awesome writers. The physical DVDs were in mint new condition as advertised and worked perfectly. If you're looking for a good show to binge watch or on the fence about buying the physical DVDs, just stop hesitating and buy these. I would suggest waiting for them to go on sale, but who knows when and if that will happen anytime soon so just get them. You'll thank me later.

If you're considering purchasing season 2, you probably already have season 1. You can't jump into the world of Westeros. You must start at season 1. If you haven't, buy both or all seasons out at the time you're reading this concurrently for some of the best entertainment available. Not for the squeamish, this show has nudity, violence and foul language. But it fits into an outstanding story featuring dozens of characters. The Blu Ray transfer is reference quality in terms of picture and sound. Stunning in all aspects. One of the best features is the 12 audio commentaries available covering all 10 episodes, featuring the show's creators, effects teams and actors. Extra behind the scenes features are also included as well as an "in episode" guide and more making this Blu Ray season of Game Of Thrones a must have!

I enjoy the HBO tv series with family. It has good characters, action, and storyline that keep me watching every week. GOT is a much series to watch.
