I don't have HBO as a part of my tv subscription, but I was seeing all of the hype about this series, so I signed up for HBO Now/Go for a free month trial. I watched through all of the seasons of Game of Thrones during the trial. All seasons are all really good. They are definitely adult only, but they have a story line that pulls you in and you can't wait to see what happens next. I'm glad I didn't have to wait for a week between episodes. I bought the BluRay sets so i can own them, and also for the special features. I may have to get HBO for a month when season 7 starts. I have preordered season 6 which comes out on BluRay in November.

Somehow I misplaced my season 5 set of GOT, I needed a new copy for my wife who has been watching the series for the first time (I know, right?!?). So when I couldn't find my copy I set out to our local Best Buy to pick it up. The store was very clean and the associate was very helpful in locating the Bluray set for me. I was surprised by the price too, much lower than when I first purchased it. Our evening TV time is back to "normal" now, thanks Best Buy for helping out with that!

I don't want to say too much about it, because I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I will say that this season box set is even better than the last. There is some punishment that was dealt out, that was very much needed, in my opinion. Then there was some punishment that was issued, that should have NEVER happened. ...Also, there was a lot of REALLY GOOD special effects at play. I can't wait for this season to start, now that I'm caught up on the series. .....Until you hear from me again, I'll be on The Wall with my Brothers.

My reviews are going to be the same for all 7 seasons. Game of thrones was one of those TV Series that so many talked about. There not much to say about the Game of Thrones, that everyone didn't say already. It's on point and worth the watch. I'm johnny come lately. I've heard so much about this series that I had to go out and buy it. Overall very well written and Excellent Casting.

This show continues to be the best show on tv. Every season keep surpising me on how good it is. I keep waiting for the next season to be disappointing because most of the time shows cannot keep up with the last season because there is not enough story but they want to keep making money so they keep the show running. I heard a lot of people dos not like this season, I cannot understand why, I mean if you are upset about a character dying you will just have to get over it in this series.

My wife and I have been fans of Game of Thrones since the series began. The acting is great, the plot twists are often unexpected, the rivalry and scheming continually make one wonder who will do something dastardly next. My daughter read the books and said the series is a good approximation tot he story line. So, those who like their adventure and fantasy and fiction rolled into one series with some blood, gore, backstabbing and other chicanery will greatly enjoy this whole series.

I have watched Game of Thrones since the show started and it has been nothing less then AMAZING!! If you haven't started watching it. , I recommend buying the season box sets, I have seen every season & episode numerous times in tv and I still purchase the box sets and I will watch the season again on blu-Ray and it's well worth it, the show keeps you interested and on the edge of your seat , and is completely filled with surprises, the films are always better then the books IMO

This is my favorite series of all time. Great stories/scripts. Great acting. Great photography. Great sound. Although the video and sound are very good on HBO they are much better on BluRay. One caveat though-- be sure to check your player to see which audio track it is playing. I think since the HD audio is flagged as Dolby Atmos my Oppo 103D chooses the DD 5.1 track. You will need to choose the DolbyHD track if you want HD audio (and you do if your system supports it).

This box set perfectly complements its predecessors, with audio commaries on each episode, which enhance the viewer's appreciation of the love, care and craftsmanship that goes into producing this epic series. The supplemental features also are informative and fascinating, especially the "Real History Behind Game of Thrones" documentary. Knowing the historical inspirations for characters and events deepens the viewer's understanding of the enormity of GRRM's canvas.

I'm a huge GoT fan. Oddly enough, however, I have not read any of the books so the series keeps me on my toes with regards to what's going to happen next. The feature that allows viewers to get a glimpse of the backstory taking place before the series ever began has got to be one of my favorite things dating to the first season set. This is something that you'd want to add to your collection and something that anyone who's curious about the backstory would enjoy.

The fifth season and there is a pattern starting to develop. Everybody must die.

The 5th season is no disappointment. My wife and I have watched the series up to now only after I have purchased the bluray of the previous season upon its release. The show continues to deliver on all levels and even to up the ante in many ways. I will be buying the 6th season on bluray when it's released, even though for the first time this season my wife and I are watching the episodes each week when they are broadcast. Just couldn't wait this time around!

Season 4 was fantastic and I couldnt wait to add this to my collection. I just finished watching it and I am looking forward to Season 5 starting in a few weeks. I'm not going into each detail of this season for those handful of people who did'nt see this yet, but ...spoiler alert...I hope I see Jon Snow in some way shape or form when April 22nd arrives!!! The special Bonus Features were very enjoyable as well in this set. Any true fan would want to own it.

If you are a fan of the series and have mainly followed it on HBO, you will find that the Bluray will enhance the experience even further. I have a 4K TV and the scenes had never looked so good. The Audio is also in ATMOS format but will decode in DolbyTrueHD.....you are surrounded by sights and sounds as if in the scene itself. This is a great gift to the fans of the show and with the right setup can make the experience better than the broadcast.

The amount of money HBO spends on this series is huge, but every penny is on the screen. the costuming and intricate workmanship of the weapons and armor are gorgeous and the acting is superb. they are starting to run ahead of the books cause the author obviously has writer's block because he seems to be unable to finish the last book. ..they could always construct shows around characters from the previous books who did appear on the TV show.

I am a huge Game of Thrones fan, both the show and the books. Many may complain about season 5 and nothing happening but I loved it but this is not about the show itself. This review is for the product packaging. I enjoyed watching the extra features, and thought the packaging, as with the past seasons, was wonderfully designed. There will be many re-watches in the future of this show and am happy to own a physical copy in this digital age.

Really liked getting to see new places and character's thus season.

Season 5 just adds more to the excitement of the entire series. Game of Thrones leaves all its fans on the edge of our seats awaiting Season 6. This season has epic battles which never fail to shift the story to unexpected plots and new characters with so much depth and charisma that make fans root for a different king battling for the throne. You will enjoy every episode, specially, the last episode to conclude season 5.

This series gets better with each season & I would give it more stars if they were available. No wonder GOT is one of the highest rated series of all time!!! I hate having to wait for the new season to begin. The usual cliff hanger at the end plus a major character is killed, or is "he". The last episode leaves you breathless & wanting more. Too bad this series can't be done like soap operas, just keep going day by day!

If you are a fan of game of thrones, you will enjoy these blu-ray discs. Altought the season ended some time ago, if you are a fan of the series, this is a must have for your collection. Love the plot, dont want to spoil the plot for anybody, but to say the least you will love it. Love the quality of the box and what is included in the box, nice artwork and love the included perk of getting the episodes online.
