This is the best series. I have all seven seasons.

Ordered season 6 & 7 on Blueray.. looked amazing, like blue ray does, just not a fan of the way they are packaged. One came with the tabs broken and one broke when removing one of the discs.

Usually the Game of Thrones features more complex packaging, which folds out to both sides. This one feels like they ran out of money for bluray packaging and they just said screw it.

This series, based mostly on the Game of Thrones books, is in keeping with The Hobbit books and movies and other classics. The fact that it has reached this level so quickly is a testament to the author of the books, and the producers of the HBO series. Cast and characters are fantastic and well developed. The effects are excellent and the story line keeps you thoroughly engrossed in the lives of these fictitious people. I read the book and then watched the series for the first 5 seasons. In this season I watched the series and then will read the book when it comes out. I like to take notice of the minor differences and artistic license taken in the series as the producers do a fantastic job fitting this complex world onto the small screen.

GOT season 6 is the last truly great season of an all time classic show. Action, sex even some dark humor ...all accompanied by great acting, cinematography and phenomenal score.

the show itself is amazing and this has been the best season so far, in my opinion. The discs all play flawlessly. But I had to remove a star because of the packaging. This time, the packaging is awful. Instead of having one disc per "page", we now have two discs kind of stacked on top of one another with a shoddy glue job holding the plastic pages to the package itself. They've removed the little pocket on the inside that holds papers so when you open the season, paper falls out everywhere (they're not too important, so they'll be thrown out eventually, I'm sure). Seems as if they went the cheap route on the packaging. It's frustrating overall, but just have to deal with it. I am a fan of the actual artwork, though!

Normally shows start winding down after a number of years as the writing gets soft, acting gets familiar, etc... Well, I can easily say that aint the case here! This season was right in line with the other quality wise, plenty of great plot development/twist/turns, the acting staying top-notch as well, the action scenes were incredible, especially the big battle - easily could compete and surpassed many a mega high budget theatrical release. One could argue that it was the best season yet! If you haven't gotten into the series yet - get into it, you won't regret it... If you you've seen the other seasons and are just lagging here - get it you won't regret it!

This season is the first season to be released that includes all original content. The story in Season 6 has not been released as a novel by George RR Martin yet. So fans of the novels are also getting the story new for the first time. The pacing is much quicker throughout the season which probably means that the series is gearing up for the inevitable war against the white walkers. Everything comes to crashing down literally in the season finale. The battle scene on episode 9 contains war scenes that are better than anything we have ever seen on film. If you are a fan of the series, get this set, you owe it to yourself to own some of the best TV series ever.

A pretty strong B+ of a season. Prior seasons were basically flawless and this was the first one to show some cracks.

Game of Thrones season 6 picks right up where season 5 left off. As usual there were some unexpected deaths (among the many) and returns, as well as some interesting twists. Quality of the Blu-ray was excellent, although I'm not a big fan of how the discs are stacked/packaged.

While an acquired taste which contains depictions of violence (some extreme) , mature themes, and deceit, Game of Thrones is superbly acted, visually stunning, and will have you rooting for or against many amazing characters. While extremely true to the real life maxim "everyone dies", Games of Thrones occasional, if rarely, brings a character back. Despised or loved, you will welcome the additional story twists this and some occasionally large bits of fantasy allow. . Addictive and highly recommended for appropriately mature audiences.

One of the best seasons of the show. It's Game of Thrones what more could you ask for. Worth a pick up for sure.

I’m extremely late to the GoT bandwagon, but it’s definitely a great show and so was this season. However, I’m disappointed they stopped at only 7 episodes this season. And now that 8 is over and I know it only has 6, what a let down. Seems like these show runners took their popularity for granted. I’m curious why they wouldn’t extend this series out as long as possible.

I watched Season 6 on HBO last year and it was an absolutely amazing show. Every two episodes together could be a movie my itself. particularly, the last three episodes are really fantastic. The Blu ray package is also excellent. The video and audio are excellent and the package has lots of bonus material. It also comes with the digital HD copies of the episodes. The price at Best Buy was unbeatable. Go for this Blu Ray package. You will not be disappointed. Highly highly recommended.

Although there were a couple of illogical segments, the show has not lost it luster insofar.

I have used the GoPro hand stabilization for a commercial work. It gives the video image a smooth look that I have been wanting in my videos. It is easy to use and the price tag around 300.00 won't kill you for go stability. I will also be using this unit for outdoors hikes so the weight won't kill you. The only negative thing is the instructions are bad on how to set the camera into the unit and remove the Hero 5 door. I had to look this information on the internet.

This season continues its unique game taking it another leap- hop & hobble toward that THRONE & winter...... OF horrors....! It does not disappoint in story content & may surprise many....again. I'll be waiting to see how many awards it rake's into it's GAME this year. It's still the best series (of it's timeline) and will not faulter from that after completed. I'm looking forward to purchasing Season 7 from Best Buys- they always have the SPECIAL DEALS!

The Game of Thrones is usually reviewed for characters, story, directing, etc. It's all great for that stuff, but the whole series is recorded with Dolby ATMOS sound track, which adds a lot of punch to the movie. I view it on an 80 inch Sharp 3D monitor and listen to it with Pioneer Elite VSX-LX301 receiver. I use Bose speakers in a 7.1.2 configuration with the rear speakers configured for 'height'. Hear the Dragons Roar -- no, no, no...FEEL THE DRAGONS ROAR!!
