Although the first season was only shot in 1080p, the 4K up-converted quality is surprisingly superior to the 1080p bluray. The Atmos sound (and if you don't have Atmos, 7.1 channel sound) is greatly improved too. This is the way to see Game of Thrones! I can't wait for the later seasons on 4K bluray! Great job HBO!

I love love love this show. It is so easy to get swept up in the plots and intrigue. For the most part it is well cast, the set is a great gift for anyone who enjoys fantasy.

I was thoroughly impressed with the cost and packaging of the Game of Thrones Season 1. Other companies had DVD at a lower price, however, Best Buy matched the price.

The mass media tends to ignore fantasy stories, especially high fantasy stories. So it came as a pleasant surprise to me that George R.R. Martin's fantasy epic A Song Of Ice And Fire was being adapted for television -- and HBO crafts it with all the dignity it deserves, with plenty of grime, blood and a tangle of convoluted story lines..

This is my favorite show on tv right now. It was great reading the book and then popping in the blu rays to bring the story to life. HBO has outdone itself with this one. A+
