Na-na-ne-na-na, I bagged this for $24.95! This has the swell included refrigerator magnet which doubles as a paper weight. The disks are in the annoying stacked storage configuration which always scares me when I pry them out. But the show makes up for that. I avoided this series when it was so mega popular and I only bought this set because it comes with a German sound-track which I use for learning German. Unfortunately, the German subtitles don't match the German dialogue but that seems to be the rule with these movies. I think it must be a legal requirement. Otherwise, the show is all epic and such. And there's a lot of naked people who make this show into a sort of nasty LOTR clone. Well, there's no wizards yet but what can you expect when the author is some guy from New Jersey?

Entertaining fantasy show. Lots of action, twist and turns and good acting. Packaging was great. It's a must buy if you are into dragons, sword fights and drama.

Basically it's just the first box set of an hbo show but man what a show! I don't really watch tv and I waited a really long time to check this out cuz I haven't watched too much television that has kept me up at night curious what's gonna happen next. I would say if you are uptight this would probably not work for you and it's definitely not for children. I'm tired of tv for all it's Disney like gloss of fake life but this show was raw and real. It revealed a cutthroat and dangerous reality to the times of kings and queens that school doesn't connect you to. It was enough to keep me glued to the story. Great looking actors and actresses at all levels which was key to me. People you may not recognize but that you will want to see more of. My vote is check them all out.

Watching GoT in 4k is a completely different experience. If you already own a 4k player and HDR capable TV you have to watch this in 4k. Very highly recommended.

Nothing out of the ordinary other than it shows more heightened color and clearer processing. I mean, thats what its suppose to do when in 4k, right?

I waited until season 4 is airing live on HBO to finally get into Game of Thrones, and now I'm hooked! I don't know how I waited so long! Everything is incredible - the deep and complex story (although sometimes too complex, so you might want to re-watch everything, which is perfectly fine because they're so good), the acting, the suspense, the writing. Some of the characters are played so well that you feel uncomfortable and really hate them! Others you fall in love with and can't wait to see their next step. Just in case you didn't already know, though - THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR KIDS, OR ANYBODY THAT CAN'T HANDLE GORE!

I enjoy the HBO tv series with family. It has good characters, action, and storyline that keep me watching every week. GOT is a much series to watch.
