I am an essential worker but stuck at home the rest of the time and have been buying a lot of DVDs to pass the time. This set is absolutely great for killing time on the cheap. Probably not the greatest subject if you are cooped up 24/7, could end poorly for that neighbor who parks in your space or plays his music too loud.

Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead are two of the only shows I watch faithfully. In anticipation of the upcoming season, I bought these for a Christmas vacation binge. Since it's five discs, the quality is very good (as opposed to the 2 discs for TWD, which is pretty good, but not HD). As any GOT fan knows, don't get too attached to the characters because the writer loves to kill them off and give you feels.

The first season is great. I've watched them all and own all but the first so When Best Buy had it on sale for $19, I couldn't resist. Looks great in HD and extras are entertaining and informative. Only complaint is that the Blu-Rays will not play on my PS3. They work fine on my stand alone player, so not sure if it is the PS3 or the discs, regardless it is frustrating.

I read the books but avoided the series for 5 seasons. I didn't want to be disappointed or have the series too different from the books. My new wife convinced me that the series is true to the books and done with quality. She is right! These discs are excellent quality material. Highly recommended for older viewers - especially those who will read the books first to create their own mental versions.

I bought this for myself since I'm a big fan. I've watch all season on HBO and even read the books. The first season basically follows the first book. I don't want to give any spoilers, but boy, that death near the end of the season was a huge surprise - weather you read the book or just watched the show. I would consider this show a game changer, as it is one of the best shows on the tv.

I'm not an HBO subscriber, but as a fan of the books, I was interested in checking out the show. Could not believe the fabulous price on this Blu-Ray set for Season 1, so I picked it up and was not disappointed. I can rewatch whenever I want without having to pay a monthly fee for on-demand services, as this cost me just about two months of that kind of service, so it was well worth it.

I always been hesitant about purchasing the first season of games of thrones. One because of price and two because I didn't think i'd like the show in all. After doing some searching and talking to people I decided to go ahead and order online and see if it'd fit me. I found that I am quite taken with the shows and the characters. i'd definitely recommend games of thrones to my family and friends.

Season 1 of Game of Thrones doesn't disappoint. In typical HBO fashion, they deliver yet another awesome series. I've read all of the books by George R.R. Martin, and while the season is not an exact replica, it's pretty close and done really well. The deviations from the book is hardly worth worrying about, and if you've never read them, then you'll have no idea and just get a great show to enjoy. I highly recommend it.

Great price for this i would recommend this. I'm so glad that they made it very easy to get during this Christmas holiday season. Best Buy keep dishing out these great low competitive prices.

I am probably one of last people in the known universe not to have already watched the Game of Thrones but I truly glad I finally did. The story lines are fascinating and the photography, costumes, and special effects are stunning. I highly recommend those few who have not already watched it to do so.

I read 'A Song of Ice and Fire' before watching the show and was worried it wouldn't be able to live up to the epic scale of the books. I'm very happy to be wrong. There are a few moments that didn't make it into the show but all the main plots and subplots worth telling made it in. Knowing what happens later on in the series, I can't wait to see the pages come to life.

GoT is an excellent series if you wish to start a new tv addiction. The plot deviates from the book in some minor ways, but regardless the story is exciting and always throws you for a loop. It's brutal, sarcastic, and fun. I bought this package while on sale, because personally I feel that it's a tad bit expensive.

For YEARS, my friends have been telling me to watch Game of Thrones because I love reading comic books and dressing up in Cosplay at Comic Con. I don't have HBO, so I decided to buy the first season. I'm TOTALLY HOOKED after the third episode. The coolest part, every episode, the main characters are not even safe. Its the BEST show out there. It keeps evolving.

I thought Breaking Bad was the best show I've ever seen on TV and still think that. But, after watching Game of Thrones, I think its every bit as good as Breaking Bad. Didn't think I'd ever be able to say that. Great acting, great story, great dialogue, and great sets/effects. So its now a tie between those two. Both are fantastic and the best things I've seen on TV.

Bought this season just for episode 3 (The Long Night). I’m not a huge GoT fan but did watch the HBO showing of this episode and do remember the backlash of the near black handling and complaints of not being able to see what was going on. Happy to report there’s no issue with the 4K disc. Black levels and shadow detail is excellent! Oh ATMOS track is great to!

So while everyone is on the 7th season... my boyfriend and I just started the first season. We just moved in together and have no internet, which made us buy the DVD to play on our Xbox One. It is true what they say, this show is very addicting. DVD has a lot of extra features and commentary. The main menu set up is pretty cool too.

I love both the book and HBO series of Game of Thrones and the 4th season continue the stories of all the characters of Houses Stark, Targaryen, Lannister, etc. The blu ray quality of the discs are great. Sound and picture are crisp and clean. I really liked that the blu-ray came with the digital copies of the series so I can watch on my phone or computer.

Not much else to say except that this is nothing short of a great story! Every episode feels like it's own mini movie. The only downfall I can think of, is there are a lot of characters to keep track of, but once you get into the show and learn who everyone is, it gets a lot easier to follow. That and there are only 10 episodes in each season, which just leaves you wanting MORE!

I love this show. The truth is I already own Season 1 on Blu-ray, but the introduction of a Dolby Atmos soundtrack (not to mention the limited edition steelbook packaging with collectable Family Crest magnet), convinced me it was a good idea to pick this one up again. All the reviews I have read about this new edition seem to concur with my assessment.

I bought this set for two main reasons: I love the series and for the steel case and magnet, now, as far as the first one goes, no complains there obviously, it's not like I'm getting different episodes or anything, the video / audio quality is excellent, I don't have a Dolby Atmos receiver, but pretty sure if I had it would be even better, so 5/5 there, as for the second reason, the case is great, what disappointed me was the magnet, I expected better quality, it won't even hold itself up in the fridge! So even though it was a cool idea, it was poorly executed to say the least, I would've been willing to pay $5 more for a much better quality collectible! Overall, that was it's only flaw, 4/5
