HBO released the TV adaption of the George R.R. Martin novels. With a steller cast and great production. DVD's come in two doubled sided discs. Blu-ray with a slew full of extras some players will have difficulty playing them but will work if you give the players a break.

You already know if you're a fan of this show. Decided to pick up the Blu-Ray version of Game of Thrones, starting with Season 1. The quality is exactly as you would expect it to be. Especially great if you can find it on a sale.

While very explicit, after the first couple of episodes, the acting, writing and roles are just superb. I can't remember a more exciting series on TV or cable. I can't say enough about the "Game". You need to have it in your collection!

I got the first season DVD on sale at Best Buy. It is amazing how many of the charactes are no longer part of the series, having lost heads, hands etc. If you have never seen GOT this could be a good into. You will probably be hooked after the first episode.

I wanted this on Blu-Ray so I could appreciate how beautifully it is shot and I am glad I did so. There is at least 1 commentary on most episodes and I really enjoyed listening to them. The Arya/Sansa/Bran commentary is fun though I thought it would annoying at first.

Took a while to figure out what the difference between the normal box set and this was. Turns out it was nothing. Box came with all 5 discs, and all of the special features included but only cost $20. Hopefully they release later seasons @ the same cost.

Looked great on HBO but even better on Blu Ray Discs, and if you have a surround sound audio system... it's like watching it for the first time. Sound makes a world of difference. Oh and I got it on sale with a rewards coupon so the price was right also.

Great show, it feels like a soap opera at points but it's a lot better than most other dramas on television. This is coming from someone who only watches stand up comedy so I'm tough to win over. Definitely will be buying the rest of the seasons.

, give it a chance. Never met anyone who had seen it who didn't like it. Be sure to start at season 1. Flawed characters who you still root for, ruthlessness, suffering, oh and Dragons! Swordfights, and characters some of which you will love to hate.

Great bluray. Phenomenal picture and amazing sound mix. Tons of special features, and the menus are clear and easy to navigate. Package is sturdy and a booklet is included. Don't be alarmed if the discs won't load the first time. This set is a great value. 5stars!!!

I haven't watched the videos yet but have read the books and thought the books were great. Really looking forward to watching the videos. In addition my wife bought these on black Friday very cheap and included regular dvd, blue ray dvd, and the digital pc version.

If you love steelbooks, the game of thrones is a must. All of them, have the spine title in the same place. All of the seasons I order where shipped in boxes instead of the envelopes, so there were no scratches or dents in the steelbooks.

I was struggling whether to buy the DVD version or the Blu-ray version, but the DVD version turns out to be a good purchase. The subtitles are bigger which is helpful to me, especially some of the conversations were not very loud.

This season was a great introduction to the fantasy world of GRR Martin's Fire & Ice books. There was plenty of intrigue, drama, interesting characters, and plot twists to keep even those who have never read the books hooked.

I love the series but haven't re-watched it since it aired on TV... until now. Westeros is more beautiful than ever thanks to HDR and a booming soundtrack. If you love 4K, there's no better time to revisit the series!

I was really happy to find this original classic on sale for 9.99 at the local Best buy. I love the series... if you don't have this one you need to get over to Best buy to pick it up.

What else can I say, but it's "Game of Thrones"! If you have not seen this series, it is a must see. The show has everything, drama, deception, war, violence, murder, kings and queens, and all that goes with it... One of the best shows I have ever seen...

We had not seen Game of Thrones until we bought this DVD set. We enjoyed the series very much, but did not use the bonus features - it was too distracting as we watched the shows. The bonus features are easy to use, if you want to use them.

This is the ultimate in movie making. The entire production is flawless. The acting is 1st rate. The editing is fantastic. The music is just wonderful. The cast of characters are woven into the tail of the relentless pursuit of the iron throne. Who will survive?

The first season of game of thrones is very confusing because there are too many characters to keep up with, their names, their titles etc etc. But obove all else, I find this series very addicting.
