Wow, this series just keeps getting better. I won't reveal any plot points or spoilers but there are a lot of moments that will completely and utterly stun and shock you. I love that this is also coded in Master HD Audio which makes the experience, if you have a compatible home theater system, that much more enjoyable. It would've been nice to have it in 7.1 as opposed to 5.1 but it's not a deal breaker by any means. If you're already a fan of the show, be sure to pick this season up to add to your collection.

I expected this season to be good, but it literarily blew me away with how good it was. The show just gets better and better. I cannot wait for season four to come out on Blu-Ray. A huge advantage to these discs were the animated back stories that it provided so you can get a little more in-depth with Game of Thrones. I like watching the discs on my home system with the big screen/audio and taking the digital download on the iPad and iPhone so I can watch on the commute so watching twice is a huge plus!

Excellent series that keeps getting better as the episodes and seasons progress. It keeps you guessing with its twists and turns and it seems that no one is safe. I haven't read the books, but listening to the author on the special features really brings it more to life and I can't imagine it getting any better. Well, yes I could, if and when they kill off that smug, degrading, murderous, boy of no honor: King Joffery. Oops, I hope that was treasonous of me, but he's not the king or queen I pull for.

I did not start watching Game of Thrones in the beginning so when I would catch an episode I was lost so didn't care much for it. My son brought his dvd's of Season 1 & 2 over on Mother's Day and I have been hooked ever since. Watched two episodes a night after work and was caught up very quickly. I didn't buy a special edition cover because I am waiting for the last season and will purchase the entire set in a special edition (even though I will have the single seasons). I love it that much.

I love this show and had to own the seasons! Great behind the scene extras

I recently got into game of thrones by receiving season 1 as a Christmas gift. I have now purchased season 2 and 3 and am binge watching the series. This is such a good series. We finally get more into the infamous "white walkers." There were some twists I, seriously, did not see coming (even after watching season 1 & 2 and knowing they kill off people without hesitation, I was still shocked with parts). Def. recommend! Will be going out to buy season 4 soon!

I love this series. Season 3 gets right into the story incorporating parts of book 3 and 4. Lots of action. The red wedding has to be the climax of this season. If you didn't know the story, you will be surprised. If you know the story, it was still difficult to see. The only disappointment I had was there was no cold hands or the magical black gate back into the wall. I thought those were great parts in the book. I can't wait for season 4 and now I need to wait another year!

Great Show!! I just started watching season 3. I dont regret buying them

I have enjoyed the series Game of Thrones since the beginning. (I could personally do without the abundance of adult-only content scenes, but realize that an HBO show will take advantage of the fact that they can show this, and they have done so. It does seem that these scenes have not been as prevalent since the first season concluded, so there's that!) I was very happy with how reasonably priced this set was at Best Buy, and am very happy I purchased this set from them.

The plot and the acting are the best you'll see in a TV series. It will grab hold of you and not let go until the very end. You'll love some characters, and you'll love to hate other characters. The on set locations are beautiful and will add to the enjoyment you get from watching this Emmy award winning series. It's a must to watch this series from the beginning, and catch every exciting episode. it's not for children, but definitely should be in your DVD library at home.

the one and only "flaw" with this show is the same complaint any reader has with the storytelling of George R. R. Martin. He makes you mad pretty often. his story is really good, and complex, and twisted, and intriguing, and entertaining. But he has some fascinating ability to always know how to give you hope, and then kill the person you most expect/want to live. and in his stories, A LOT of people die... But like any well done soap opera, you cant stop watching.

Good series I wouldn't expect any different, worth watching.

This is a great series that continues to not disappoint in this this, the third season. While there are a few differences from the books, the high quality of the series more than compensates for its liberties. My only qualm about this BluRay/Digital copy set is the digital copy is not available through Amazon's streaming service. The previous two seasons were available through similar sets, but if you prefer to use iTunes, Flixster, or VUDU you should be fine.

Not sure what to do during Winter break? Why not revisit your favorite episodes of The Game of Thrones? Season 3 broadens the story line and has a few of my favorite episodes / moments thus far (will spare you from any spoilers). And this series is reasonably priced too (season 4 and newer cost slightly more at the time of my purchase).

Game of Thrones Season 3 was EPIC. The bloody marriage being better conceptualized and executed than any 10 minutes ever on TV, cable or network, period. The Dragon Queen is coming for her rightful throne as well. If you haven't purchased seasons 1, 2, and 3 on blu-ray/DVD at Bestbuy yet, I highly recommend. You'll thank me for sure and nothing is better than knowing you can watch your favorite episodes whenever you want...at very high quality video/sound.

What can be said about Game of Thrones that hasn't already been said? Admittedly, I just recently started watching this show, but has already become my favorite show of all time. Absolutely amazing - can't believe it took me this long. This was an absolutely great season. So many developments and shocking moments. The packaging is also top notch. Great design, layout, and plenty of bonus features on the discs.

Season 3 starts off a bit slower than the first two seasons but soon finds its stride and doesn't stop, Episode 9 will make you cringe, even after re-watching it still packs a punch. The North Will Never Forget! Contains about the same kinda of extras as both prior seasons, (History and Lore, a few deleted season and so on). Recommend the set of and GOT fans!

Another great season of Game of Thrones. While some of the stories are slow, overall the show has great pacing. My wife has read the books and is very happy with how they have kept to the source material (as opposed to something like True Blood- decent show but limited similarity to the books I am told). Decent packaging and extras as you would expect from one of HBO's premium DVD offerings. The digital copies are a nice addition to the Blu-ray.

Epic story but they keep on killing off my favourite characters

I'm still quite new to Game of Thrones but it's one of the most amazing shows I've ever watched. I've been guilty of staying up until 4:00 or 5:00 a.m. watching these shows on a work night. Once you start you simply must know what is going to happen to everyone next even the characters that you hate. It's an insanely addicting series and to be able to pass the time between seasons I've began to read the books and they are equally as good.
