I might have recieved a faulty product, if so, quality control is lacking, do not buy, you have been warned. This is giving me lots of stress.

Posted .The Garmin Speak Plus do not contain onboard mapping, meaning that navigational searches require data connectivity to start a route. Once the route has been calculated, the device does not require a data connection to give turn-by-turn directions. However, if you deviate from the route while there is no network connectivity, the device may not be able to calculate a new route until data is restored.
