    This works as it should. Beware, the first one I bought was defective and blew the fuses in my car... Best Buy replaced it with zero hassle and the replacement is as advertised.

    I love the Garmin. It's great to use especially on a long trip. Unlike your phone, the screen stays up and it is very easy to view and the directions are very clear.

    The cable I purchased worked great for the professional installer hardwiring my GPS into my Porsche. However it is not the cable shown. The box was very confusing showing a round pin but the cable is a mini USB plug. The installer put in a key operated socket (in Mercedes and Porsches all electronics stay hot). However an employee directed my to the correct cable in spite of the confusing packaging.
