    This car charger is much better than the one which came with the device. The original began to tear the cord away from the plug in soon after I got it. This seems to have a much sturdier, well built receptacle cord part. Plus, it's not much but, this one has a blue light which is much easier to see than the small red dot on the original so you know when it is charging.
