The door swings weren’t correct but they came back and fixed them

The installation service offered from Best Buy for the new unit was great. The team reached out to me before delivery, and arrived right on time. They took care not to damage my home and helped me with requests. They moved my old unit to the garage where I wanted it, again taking care not to damage my home. Great service.

Installation paid for (3rd party via Best Buy), arrived date/time specified. removed old Samsung 1 yr old quit working, installed new Whirlpool Gas Dryer-replaced dryer hose, with NEW Dryer Rigid Kit, didnt install so wouldnt fall off-it did. Paid for the Yellow Gas line - didnt get it. They didnt install this-never saw it. They used my old silver gas line. When they pushed the dryer back and ran a cycle to check, told me let it run for a while 20-30 min to cear out smell from being new. They kinked the gas line (i had to unkink). When i found out they never used the (paid for) yellow gas line - and the new Rigid Hose kit fell off the dryer. Had to put it back on and make sure it wouldnt come off. Dryer also wasnt level. it rocked badly. I put a rug under the front legs which fixed this problem.

Individuals that delivered and "installed" were very kind and friendly however, apparently BestBuy does not have keep them equipped with any* small hardware that may* be needed for even the simplest install. Specifically any connection couplings or small valves. They could realistically even "up-charge" for these if its deemed necessary when on a job, but instead would rather not complete an install and issue a total refund. These couplings that may be needed are typically no more than a dollar at a home center (allows for male to male connection). So i was left to run to to the store and grab one to simply connect myself and it saved me the entire instal charge which ended up fine for my pocket but a large inconvenience and loss for both parties. Just a suggestion that would help customers and BestBuy in the long run.

Excellent crew. removed old dryer, installed the new one. no issues. I asked to change the door swing, said that is not part of their installation, said to call service and they would do it for free. Service said it costs an additional $50 and there was an option to specify door swing when ordering the dryer. There is not, I checked. I ended up doing it myself, wasn't difficult.

Love the dryer. Wasn’t happy with the first delivery people. They used a type of duck tape to connect the two pieces of cut vent to and elbow adapter. Took multiple phone calls to get another appointment for someone to come back out to fix the horrible first job.

First installer did not have the proper items needed to install the dryer even though I paid for such. I had to reschedule. Second installers had the proper items and were nice and efficient. One star for first set of installers, five star for second set.

Was a bit disappointed with my stackable washer/dryer installation. Was done professionally enough, but I had bought a dryer pan to place underneath the units in case of a washer leak, as this is an apartment on the second floor, and I wanted to protect my first floor neighbor. This is a lightweight piece of plastic with a 1" lip all around that must be placed on the floor, and then the stackable washer/dryer is placed on it. The installer refused to use it, saying that it wouldn't fit, which it absolutely did, but he wouldn't even consider it. So I now have a missed opportunity to protect my floor and my neighbor and will have to hire a handyman to lift the stackable units and insert this thing underneath. Much easier to do at the time of the install.

We had to have a gas shut off valve installed before the gas dryer could be hooked up. So a second team had to come out to hook up the dryer after the shut off valve was installed. The lead tech seemed irritated that he had to come out to hook up the dryer. He was in a hurry. He quickly removed the old dryer and hurried in to hook up the new one. Did not allow time to clean behind and under where the old dryer was, did not level the dryer, did not test the dryer, did not properly hook up vent and did not put laundry room door back on. My 90 year old husband had to level the dryer and he and my injured son-in-law rehung the door. Called Best Buy and they sent out a third crew who did an excellent job of going above and beyond.

Install was quick but they had to trouble shoot a couple times because they forgot to turn on the gas. Was a little concerned when my clothes came out damp. Had to do a couple loads before finding out we had to uncheck the energy saving mode.

Good purchase and was needed for the dryer.....................

The installer did a very efficient and fast installation.

Best Buy contracts with a third party to deliver appliances. The installers were fast and helpful. My only complaint is that they came over an hour after the delivery window without a phone call to update. I understand Best Buy is relying on the third party to notify them of a delay but maybe there could be a better system in place to prevent that from happening or to at least notify the customer before or at the beginning of the delivery window.

Best Buy did a great job of installing my dyer. The delivery/installation team sized up my laundry room in 2-3 minutes and started working. They got the dyer up 3 flights of stairs and installed the gas dyer (and washing machine) in under an hour. I was very impressed.

Good prior notification. Nice professional install. Maybe could have switched the door swing for me but no big deal. Easy to do yourself.
