    Gas dryer installed with leaking gas valve

    The installers put in an incorrectly sized valve leading to a slow leak of gas. Because the utility room is in our garage we didn't notice it for a while. This is a terrible installation error and the plumbing company employee that came out and discovered the source of the smell was shocked at the incompetence and danger this posed to us.

    Worst Buy is the worst when it comes to appliances and delivery. For TVs or other small electronics they are fine but for bug ticket items, their customer support stinks and other third party contractors they use are rude and not up to the task.

    Proper size venting for limited space required.

    One size fits all is not a solution for a limited space condo type install. Installer refused to cut down the venting supplied by Best Buy or use something shorter to install in a condo needing about 18 inches of venting instead of the flexible 3 to 8 feet version supplied by Best Buy. Dryer installed by looping and winding venting decreases the efficiency of the dryer increases fire hazards.

    Horrible Haul, delivery, installation service

    Live the drier and review has to do with installation and delivery which was a horrible service. It look several call and appointments and finally after 6 appointments both drier, washer and pedestal have completely been installed. The haul, delivery and installation was a total nightmare

    The installers couldn’t be bothered to even take it upstairs, they wanted me to let them leave it in my garage. They said it didn’t include the steam kit but it did it was inside the dryer and they never checked luckily I was able to get them to bring it upstairs but I had to install it myself

    could not hook up dryer, did not take the 5/8 to 3/8 reducer from the other install, did not provide 6 ft gas line as requested, I had to go out an buy it, I also had to buy the reducer and call my own plumber to install, Lost 2 days of work, they used my own existing vent even though I was charged for a new one

    Technician would not bring it in to the house because the steps were slightly snowy. Had to do it ourselves. Hooked it up ourselves! Bad service. I'm a single mom. He was a man with an assistant. Filed a complaint!

    TECHNICIAN NOT TRAINED. HE SAID THAT THE YELLOW PIPE OF GAS WOULD NOT GO INTO THE GAS OUTLET. UNFORUNATELY HE DID NOT EVEN KNOW THAT THERE WAS A KNOB WHICH CAME WITH YELLOW PIPE WHICH HELPED ATTACH THE GAS OUTLET TO THE YELLOW PIPE. I HAD TO PAY 100$ TO ANOTHER PROFESSIONAL FOR INSTALLING MY DRYER AND NOT HAVE BEST BUY DO IT.

    Installer didn't know how to install the dryer. Didn't bring the right parts. Didn't speak a word of english so i couldn't resolve any of the issues. will never order an appliance with best buy again. you get what you pay for with free install. i got a couple trips to home depot and a lesson in how to tie into a gas line.

    After my gas dryer was installed I informed the instatller that I smelled gas. He said everything was okay. He didnt even have a device to check. I left and returned to a house full of gas. I didnt get a service tech to come for two days. Once they left the gas smell returned. Now they are saying that the gas line needs to be replaced. I purchased the recommended gas line per the wesite.

    Did not put the legs on the dryer. Did not know they used the adapter incorrectly. These missteps caused a second installer coming to my home one week later. The second installer was knowledgeable and professional. You need to insure that the contractors that are delivering your products know how to install them.

    The installation was never done. The delivery guys had no clue what to do and left me with a dryer not installed to the gas line. They told me to call the gas company and they would do it. Upon calling the gas company NO they don’t offer that service. I was on the phone with Best Buy for 2 1/2 hours and i have gotten no where!!!

    Installer thought he smelled gas BUT it was a glass cleaner so wouldn’t continue. Left it up to the driver and my husband. Ended up we had to call a plumber and pay extra $300 for install

    I would never use these installers again, they were rude, dented the dryer and told me to call a plumber because I had a gas leak and left. I did not, dirt on the line, paper towel and a little water did the trick. Had gas company and plumber out no need. They also put the washer and dryer in the wrong positions had to be moved. Horrible, horrible experience I would never recommend these installers, ever.

    dryer was never installed after 3 visits. The installation company that best buy contracts refused to do it, claiming multitude of problems that make no sense. Why? because it was upstairs and they didn't want to haul it down. They refused to haul away the old unit as well even though that was purchased.

    They couldn't speak any English and refused to cover their shoes going up and down our white carpet stairs. They did not bring the stablizing brackets, so they did not install the dryer.

    Left us with a gas leak

    Appointment was moved just less than 24 hours by email, no installation was on movers invoice so we had to call customer support to validate our purchase of installation, dryer vent (which we paid for) had air leaks, and, most importantly, we were left with a gas leak on the gas line. Had to do our own installations with our own materials because of the incompetence of our installers.

    Installers came and would not install the gas dryer that I had purchase. Best buy makes you pay for a very expensive hookup kit as well. They stated that the ventilation line was too long and wouldn't hook it up. Even though the dryer was not installed, they still charged for installation.

    The installation was poor. The dryer doesn't work. Geek Squad owns no responsibility and is asking me to create a new installation request which is a week out. So i paid for a job that was not completed and now i have to pay an external service provider to fix the mess. Dont use best buy or Geek Squad

    Must Have New Gas Valve

    One star because I was not informed that I might have an older gas valve and if so, Best Buy/Pacific Sales could not install it. This was the case and I had to hire a plumber to change the valve before the dryer could be install. A big oversight and created logistical issues for a week.
