after installation gas smell has to pay for a real professional to fix therefore had to pay double installation plus a higher gas bill from the incompetence of your professional my family could have been killed with all the gas leaking out

My gas dryer was not connected properly. The dryer vent tubing was not put on well and fell off. A clamp was suppose to be put on to hold it in place and it wasn’t put on well. My husband had to put it on correctly. I asked the service man to please come back and fix it and I was told he couldn’t. A recorded message called my home telling me it would be July 11th when they could come back!

OK but you need to purchase the best buy kit for them to install, otherwise they will not install. there should a check online that it notifies you of that condition.

Initially bought an electric dryer, but found out we only had a gas line, said they couldn't do free installation but contracted it out- had to wait several days because they only could come on certain days, when they arrived, they said they couldn;t install it without a shut off switch, and they couldn't install that for me, i would have to find someone else to install that. Fortunately a plumber cam and installed both the shut off switch and the gas to the dryer for much much cheaper than installation would have cost from best buy and were much easier to find someone to come do it as well

My new gas dryer was installed by what appeared to a couple of young kids fresh out of high school. They charged me an extra $38 for a permit and another $100 for some sort of gas line drip trap to comply with code. The dryer works fine, but the installation is faulty. I can smell gas every time I walk into the laundry room. Best Buy was unable to send anyone out to fix it for more than a week. Hopefully we live that long!

Installers were terrible left travel bolts in washer ! Couldnt speak any english and wouldnt help us in any way!

The installers came up with an estimate of additional $500 for several items required (per them) for code compliance. The asked to change even the plumbing of Washer though only Dryer was being installed and subject to inspection. Cancelled installation and got a plumber. Got it done in less than half the cost -- permitted

Nope. The companies hired are third company. It is terrible to reach them, you'll need to get through best buy first. The miscommunication has made them come out twice and then I had to hire someone else on my own to get the job done. They also damaged the wall/private property. The yellow flexible gas line purchased was not even provided to us by the company. They used an older piece for our install and never left us the part we purchased either.

the installer called and arrived on-time but he forgot to turn on a gas valve so the dryer spun but there was no heat. so had to reschedule and take another half day off from work.

I paid for an installation and supplies that didn't happen. My gas line needed an adapter and they informed me I would need a plumber for the install. They also used my existing vent which was fine. But had paid for a new one I didn't know if an electric used a different one than a gas. So basically, they delivered which was free. I still had to take care of the install.

They did a good job of installing, however refused to reverse door on the dryer, stating it would not close right!

Installation was good. However, the agent didn’t turn on the gas and the hot water when they finished installation.

From the start of the delivery all they did was complain and did not do all they were supposed to do during installation

This was an abomination. The installers used a putty on the tubing that effectively sealed the gas line. That meant no gas was getting to the dryer. After 15 mins of trying to figure it out, they left advising me to call someone or figure it out. Worst installation experience of my life (I’m 65). I definitely would advise others not to use best buy installation contractors.

Installers disturbed the gas line and it developed a leak. Had gas company come out since we smelled gas. They found lead on the feed line pipe to the shut off valve. Installers must have torqued the fitting too much which resulted in a broken connection. I had to call in HVAC company to fix problem.

The installer failed to communicate with before arrival . The installer damaged the dryer vent . The installer also demanded additional $100 for installation after paying instore $199

The installers were very nice, on time, and worked quickly and capably. However, they had to change one small part and it cost $125! I was disappointed but captive.

The dryer has leaked gas into our laundry room since the installation...no sealant of any kind was applied on gas line joints. Husband called customer service and the response was "sorry for the trouble, thanks for reporting it"! This is unacceptable and poor customer service!

The customer service with Best Buy was good. But sadly the vendor that had been assigned was pretty poor. Didn’t have the parts purchased. Had attempted to charge additional to come back. Sadly vendor also ruptured a pipe that required a plumber repair the water pipe for the washer.

I needed a gas to propane converter and made that clear at my purchase. The parts to do it were never delivered, even though I paid for them, so the installer couldn't do the install. I went back and forth with BestBuy over this and gave up and found someone to do the install much more quickly.
