    Plumber arrived 1 hr after gas dryer delivered & quickly hooked up venting & new gas connection. Very smooth & quick. Work done right.

    The team that came to install our dryer was professional, courteous, and fast. It took longer than I thought it should to get an appointment for delivery, and the order was messed up by someone as there were, at first, separate delivery dates for the gas hoses and dryer vent, and a second for the dryer. But the team was outstanding. I would highly recommend the two people to anyone who is getting a gas dryer installed.

    When the dryer was delivered I noticed the door opened on the opposite side of what I wanted. I asked if it could be changed and was told no. When the installer finished I was surprised to see that they had indeed switched the door. Great surprise! It also was a quick install

    A Very Bad Experience

    We recently purchased a GE Gas Dryer from Best Buy and arranged to have it delivered and installed. The installers showed up on time, but that was the only good thing that happened. The first thing they did was to look at the gas-line hook-up and claim that it was an out-of-date spring valve, and therefore they were not permitted to disconnect and remove the old dryer or install the new one. They insisted we have a plumber in to replace the valve before they could return and complete the installation. In spite of their website touting their careful COVID precautions, when the second installer entered the house he had his mask down below his chin. They left the new dryer in our garage in the box. My wife noticed a large dent/gouge in the carton and when we unboxed it, the dryer had two matching dents (fortunately they are cosmetic and do not interfere with dryer operation). When our plumber arrived, he examined the valve and discovered that it was a completely acceptable ball-valve (not the out-of-date spring valve that the Best Buy installers claimed). He changed it anyway since the old valve was 25 years old and he had already purchased a new one for us. He found that the gas line the installers had left for us was the wrong diameter, and he speculated that was the real reason the installers decided to abandon the job. We brought the dryer upstairs and our plumber installed it himself, since I didn’t want to wait for the incompetent Best Buy installers to return and finish the job several days later. Overall it was a miserable experience. I have purchased many appliances (and electronics) from Best Buy over the years, but do not intend to do so in the future. Their customer service has ben steadily declining and this is the last straw for me.

    Worst Delivery experience ever

    Worst delivery experience I have ever had. Already responded to survey, but Quality Kitchens lead guy was a putz, didn’t come on the day he was supposed to and left me waiting until midnight, then had a bad attitude about what he could and couldn’t do and said he wouldn’t be responsible if he damaged it during delivery. He also treated his asst like crap, when he was decent and helpful. Never again. previously I had an awesome team deliver my stove from Best Buy so would need to guarantee you would use them again before I ever buy anything from Best Buy to be delivered. oh also, he lost the metal clips to attach the dryer vent that he brought with him so he just taped the crap out of it. It looks ridiculous and installed the vent over electrical pipe plugs and made it hard for the dryer to gas to turn off and on later I found the clips in my sump pump tank, clogging it up. The guy was an idiot. Sorry but he was.

    Washer and dryer nightmare

    This was a disaster from start to finish. The washer and dryer were left on my garage. The installer couldn’t complete their job because it needed to be on the second floor. Okay, that’s understandable but why did the dropoff team leave it my garage?? I had to reschedule everything after 90 minutes on the phone with Best Buy. Customer service was very friendly but ultimately there was little they can do because Best But uses subcontractors. In this case, the installation was done by Thoz Guys Installations. They ended up charging me an additional $400 for the work. The other company that was subcontracted by Best Buy refused to move the W&D. Ugh. I will definitely use a local dealer going forward.

    THE INSTALLATION MEN WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY THROUGH. EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THEY HAD TO DO. AND SHOWED ALL THE SAFETY FEATURES.

    Gas leak

    At first I thought everything went really smooth and was done pretty fast and efficient. We paid to have our washer and dryer to be installed because we did not feel comfortable doing it ourselves. However last night we began to smell gas near the dryer. This morning we called the fire department and we were told that there was in fact a gas leak coming from the dryer. Nicor was called by the fire department. Nicor fixed the problem and went on to mention that the tubing was not sealed correctly and said that it is a common issue with best buy installations. So with that being said please be cautious.

    They have come twice and not installed my w/d. The first time they flat out refused because I had pedestals purchased elsewhere which was covered by the total tech plan. It was another 11 days before they could come back. They came and again refused to install because they did not have an adaptor. They have not told me what I need and can not supply what I need. They refuse to use the correct cord because they do not sell it but are willing to use an adaptor I buy they dont sell. The installers have gone out of their way to be as unhelpful and disrespectful as possible. I will never buy another item from best buy again. I will end up sending back the w/d because it can not be installed by them

    Installers asked me for tools to complete the installation work, which is mind blowing that a team sent to install appliances is asking for pliars. ultimately the install team did not hook up our gas dryer saying the connections were not proper for a dryer in our laundry room, we had our local plumber complete the install which was done in less than 15 min using the same kit and connections the best buy team was unable to use. The best buy team needs proper training! Overall not recommended using best buy for installation services of gas appliances, save your time, money and use a trusted team to install equipment at your home.

    Installation team did not install vent kit and instead used old vent kit connected to previous dryer. Old vent kit full of holes. No communication to customer. Installation is $199+. Best Buy and affiliates failed to communicate and address customer needs.
