I did see this movie in the theater when it first came out. The 4k is so great on a 4k large Sony TV and surround sound speaks it was like seeing it in the theater again. I really loved the story line ( I had forgotten the police officer was his brother) . 4k is really WORTH THE PRICE especially when they are on sale.

Vincent Freeman (Ethan Hawke) has always fantasized about traveling into outer space, but is grounded by his status as a genetically inferior "in-valid." He decides to fight his fate by purchasing the genes of Jerome Morrow (Jude Law), a laboratory-engineered "valid." He assumes Jerome's DNA identity and joins the Gattaca space program, where he falls in love with Irene (Uma Thurman). An investigation into the death of a Gattaca officer (Gore Vidal) complicates Vincent's plans. NOTES: This is an earlier released Blu-ray disc which is in dire need of a remaster. Uses an older transfer, but it's still nice.

One of my favorite films, so glad to own the steelbook. Great script, direction, and acting. A powerful film with a great message. You are more than the sum of your genetic code. Well, there’s so much more to the story than that. A must see film, via rent or physical purchase. What are you waiting for?

The Sci-Fi classic Gattaca has never looked better than on this new 4K restoration available at Best Buy. I stumbled upon it and bought it on impulse. I hadn’t seen the film since my adolescence. It’s a beautiful film, truly deserving of the new restoration. Look out for this one if you love Sci-Fi and drama films.

Excellent sci-fi cautionary tale of a sort of dystopian future where genetic engineering has been perfected and dominates society w/ elitist bend/influences, and very solid, worthwhile upgrade to 4K disc format.

Can’t believe I only watched this movie till recently and not years before. Very interesting take on the future and the storyline is far different from other films. I really love this film full of drama, suspense and bit of romance

I'm not sure how I missed out on this movie when it came out!?!?! This is a really great movie!!! It looked fantastic in 4K on my Sony 75x940e and sounded great too! My HT-Z9F soundbar and Z9R rear speakers made everything sound as good as it looked!!

My favorite movie of all time, had to purchase it and glad I did. The steel case did arrive dented/dimple front center, so a bit disappointed with that; my mistake for taking too long before opening it (couldn't see it through the plastic wrap).

Gattaca looks amazing on 4k. Amazing performances on all parts, definitely a slower paced movie but the message and theme of the movie is outstanding highly recommend to anyone who hasn't watched and enjoys sci-fi movies.

It's great to see this movie get a 4K treatment. The Atmos audio is great for those who have the setup to appreciate the immersive sound. Some people may not like the some of the darker grains but the front depth of field looks great. Keep in mind, they're pulling this movie from the 35mm cellulose. But compared to what we had before, this is great.

Still on the Top in SCi-Fi category. Gattaca is one of those movies that are good examples how interesting and thought-provoking (and entertaining) a well-made sci-fi movie can be - without laser fights and explosions.......

One of my favorite movies finally on 4K. I love this movie and had been recently looking for it on Blu-ray and discovered it was finally on 4k. The price was right for Black Friday so I bought it and I’m so happy I did.

A thoughtful science fiction film that eschews flashy effects and spectacle for intriguing concepts about the nature of humanity. This is the best this film has looked outside of being projected on 35mm film. An easy recommendation.

I love this film. This SteelBook version was the perfect way to upgrade my original blu-ray to a gorgeous new 4K transfer. This film continues to look, sound and feel amazing...rewatch after rewatch. Highly recommended.

I have always liked this realistic sci-fi movie with its unique and clever plot. Now in 4K UHD, it is spectacular and worthy to be in my personal library for repeat viewing over years to come.

I love upgrading my movies to these 4k releases. Especially the Steelbooks. Really makes the collection look special and watching the movie in 4K, especially when compared to the SD DVD, is a whole new experience.

Great movie, was always surprised by this movies in science class , that I’d never forgot about it ! , very great that it’s on 4K because when I watched it back then it wasn’t so 4K lol.

Everything about this movie is perfect, but once you watch it, but get it at a good price since you might not watch it over and over again since it's all story-based. For Sci-Fi lovers.

This is a Great movie with the restoration for video and audio. I enjoyed this sci-fi thriller with Jude Law and Uma Thurman which had a very good storyline. The steelbook is beautiful to add to my collection.

To this day, this is one of Andrew Niccol’s most underrated movies and in my eyes, his best film. Solid cast. This film has aged well given that it was an late 90s indie. Worth watching for sure.
