I spent the better part of 2 hours online looking for a microwave in the $100.00 price range that had the ability to disable the beep. Finally, I found this one at my local Best Buy.

The door wiggles in and out when it's shut and operating versus the tight seal we always had on prior microwaves and it makes a noise like something's hitting the fan. GE's prior 0.7 model was better.
