After 2 weeks of use the button to open the microwave has stopped functioning properly. I’m outside of return window so I’m disappointed that it only worked for a short time.

Wish I had purchased a larger one so tall cups would fit inside. Burned popcorn the first couple of times, as it seems to take less time to cook that our previous one, even with the popcorn setting.

Our old GE died and this was well priced so was able to pick it up. We needed one that fit in our small cabinet space and the features are very good.

It began holding moisture and forming mold. Also has a burn mark down the inside. I don’t really use the microwave for anything other than reheating for a minute or so so I’m unsure why it’s so unsafe. Very disappointed.

Many times I have had to unplug it to restart the machine. I would not advise buying this microwave and I would take it back if I were closer to a Best Buy.

Posted .Hi - We are saddened to learn you find the unit is too small for your needs and that the cooking complete reminder is no longer working. We would recommend pressing the Sound pad to ensure the sound was not inadvertently muted. If that is not the issue, try disconnecting power to the microwave for 2-3 minutes and try it again. If you continue to have difficulty, please call 1-800-432-2737 to take advantage of your GE warranty. We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. Vikki@GEA
inside rusting and door handle not working

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this microwave in April 2022 and in less than 2 years the paint is peeling and the inside of the microwave is rusting along the top and back edges. Also the door handle does not release everytime so you have to jiggle and pull it open. There is only a one year warranty on this item so Ge won't do anything. Very dissapointed.

GE has offered a warranty certificate however, it is for the original purchase price and now it is impossible to find a new one at that price. So because of a factory defect, I am out the difference between what I originally paid and the higher amount I need to pay to replace it.

Online, Best Buy claimed the product I picked was In Stock, not to mention Many other products, Including many that were on sale. When I made the drive, nearly an hour away, I learned there wasn't even a department any longer for the product I needed. To purchase, I had to order online. This was Exactly what I wanted to avoid. FALSE ADVERTISING! LIARS.

The only issue is that since it is stainless steel and black, it is difficult to read the panel. We ended up putting in a small light next to it to illuminate the panel.

No way to turn off the turntable, therefore, cannot heat anything in a pot with a handle. Door trim immediately coming unstuck (apparently only attached with a double stick type tape.) Only good for reheating food or a college student in a dorm. Should have shopped more.
