This 0.7 GE microwave oven is perfect size for my over- the-counter shelf. Reasonably priced. It looks really well-made and solid. I love the looks of it with stainless steel parts on the front and all-white on the inside which help to see the food much better. Overall this microwave looks expensive and solidly made! It’s not very powerful (which is natural for small-sized microwaves). My main concern is the door closes too loudly. Still, I would definitely recommend it. Home delivery was fast and careful.

recently purchased the GE 0.7 Cu. Ft. Compact Microwave in Stainless Steel for my son’s dorm, and it has been a great choice. Its compact size fits well in small spaces, and the stainless steel finish looks sleek and modern. Despite its small capacity, it heats food quickly and evenly and offers various preset cooking options, which is convenient for quick meals. While it may not fit larger dishes, it’s perfect for single servings. The price is reasonable for its quality and functionality. Great microwave for a small kitchen. It does everything I need it to (which is mostly reheating and some fast cooking). It accommodates a standard dinner plate and is attractive. It has all the buttons I need readily accessible on the front. So easy and convenient! And the price was great too.

We only had a tiny amount of space for a microwave in our new house, so our options were rather limited. We are used to having a fairly large microwave, so this was going to be a big adjustment. However, this little microwave is a champ! It works very well for its size. It's easy to clean and the child safety lock is a nice addition. I have a pet peeve of people opening the microwave seconds before the timer is done and not clearing it out. This microwave forces you to hit cancel before you can open the door, so I appreciate that for sure! The only downside is that some larger items that will fit in the microwave will be slightly too big and will hit the sides while it tries to rotate and will simply not rotate, like bags of microwave popcorns for example. You just gotta keep an eye on those items to make sure they don't burn on one side, potentially stopping and flipping the bag every 30 seconds or so. Not a huge deal honestly, and for 96% of the items we microwave, this is not an issue.

We purchased this microwave after we had our first baby 3 years ago. I wanted a small reliable microwave that would fit on a narrow buffet in our kitchen; one that had one-touch function for at least 1-minute heating; and most importantly, a MUTE option. Most microwaves have annoying beeps that are loud enough to wake a baby (at least mine). This GE appliance fit the bill, and it was simple. We didn’t care for special buttons for “pasta” or “vegetable” or “turkey dinner” (ha, I wonder if that really exists?) because we just don’t use buttons like those. This microwave does have “popcorn“ and “potato“ buttons which I don’t use; we mainly use the defrost buttons and the one-touch 30 second and 1 minute buttons, truthfully. You can change power level, which is useful for softening butter. The potential drawbacks to this microwave are that (1) it has a lower wattage than the bigger ones, so heating up food takes longer and it may not be suitable for cooking a large mass of raw meat (um, like a turkey?); (2) the physical dimensions are small which means it barely accommodates one of our dinner plates— definitely check the diameter of your plates; (3) being a little guy, this microwave is also lightweight, so sometimes closing the door on it will slide it backward a little; and (4) the latch on the door is a bit robust for such a lightweight oven, so one does have to push harder on it than on some ovens, and the sound of the door opening and closing is a bit jarring — test this in the store if you are sensitive to these things. Overall, it’s a great little oven, works fine so far, and the drawbacks don’t really affect us that much since we are moderate users (mostly leftovers and cups of coffee and tea... we don’t cook meals in it). GE makes a larger version of this microwave if you want a bigger oven - my parents have that one and it works great for them.

We were looking for a smaller microwave due to our very limited counter space. We're quite happy with the result. This model is ever so slightly smaller than the model from a few years ago, so we have a bit more counter space now than we had before the upgrade to this model. That's important in a small kitchen. If you have larger dinner plates (we do), they may not fit through the door opening (ours don't). But we have large bowls that fit just fine, so we use those instead to reheat meals or leftovers, etc. our dinner plates did fit through the door of the older model, but other than that minor inconvenience, we have nothing but positive experiences from our upgrade to this model. One touch cooking, reheat options, etc. all serve our needs quite well.

Excellent Microwave! I’ve been using this microwave for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed. It heats food evenly and fast — no more cold spots in the middle of leftovers. The design is sleek and fits perfectly on my counter without taking too much space. The controls are simple, and I love the preset buttons for popcorn and defrosting. It’s also surprisingly quiet compared to my old one. Great value for the price — I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, modern microwave.

Product looks nice. Small perfect for saving counter space. Only 3 stars due to push button to open product is on the left side of the button and very inconvenient. Should be on right side end. Not ideal. Would not recommend.

The new microwave works great. It fit into the soace held by it's predecessor perfectly. Supper easy to figure our ans use.

This is a great compact microwave for my small kitchen. It takes up very little room and ideal size, design, and color that suits my workspace. I have never used a microwave for much more that heating and defrosting and this one does the trick and more. I left off one star ... while a dinner plate fits on the carousel, it does not fit through the doorway of the microwave unless you tilt the plate on the side. So, either use a smaller plate or bowl or heat/defrost/cook something that's not going to slide off the plate :-)

I love my new microwave oven. It's larger than my last one by a little bit and works very well. I had a GE the last time which lasted for far too many years. My friend bought another brand and does not like it. I recommended a GE

Once I realized that you cannot put the food inside until AFTER you plug it in, this microwave was easy to use. It is perfect for a small kitchen. It has all the features I need to defrost, cook, and reheat different types of food. The only thing I am not crazy about is the sound it makes when you plug it in.

A very good product all around...cooks efficiently, dials easy to operate, looks sleek, small but fits a dinner plate. Just what we wanted.

Great microwave. Easy to clean Stainless steel and a Space saver. Runs quite. I recommend this microwave. GE has been around for many years.

Has compact outside dimensions though it can handle a 10" plate on it's convenient rotating turntable. With 700 watts of power it takes about 1 minute longer (4 min) to heat a mug of water to a comparable level of it's larger 900 watt companion model. Not for large (high) items like a whole chicken or roast. Easy to use key pad, crisp door lever that pivots in easily when pressed. Perfect for reheating of leftovers and beverages but needs more time to cook those frozen meals adequately. Recommend using felt tabs on all four bottom contact points since the rear two are just rounded metal bumpers. Purchased this to replace the GE JES1097SMSS 900 watt .9 Cu. Ft. model (it's bigger brother) that failed after 6 months with a door latch interlock problem. Which required excessive slamming to get the interlock to function properly (light stayed on, turntable would shudder, and no power for key pad or heating function) otherwise a nice machine too when working.

Selected primarily for size and modern appearance. Best Buy delivery was excellent. Site is easy for online ordering. Received as promised on third day after order. Well packaged and secure. In use for about one month. Very satisfied with this workhorse. Power is well matched to unit size. Cooks/heats just as well/fast as the 17 year old unit it replaced. For example, makes a bag of flawless popcorn in about 90 seconds. This microwave has exceeded my expectations and purchased at a great price!

I love my GE microwave especially how it is looked, work very well making only quiet sound , fit for popcorn bags which I concerned most when I looked up small size of microwave (no where I could find reviews about how they fit with popcorn bag). I had never regret to get small size since I purchased on May, 2015.
