This is a cheap replica: It is ugly in design, noisier, the display panel is poorly conceived, and the turntable is too small (smaller than the older model). I have returned it and brought out my old one again until it completely dies. The return service was courteous and efficient.

It has a number of new features which were not available in my last G E microwave. One problem is that the cooking instructions on the inside frame are difficult to read when the microwave is on the countertop. I imagine it was designed for the built in model. Something for the designers to consider in the future. So far so good on quality and performance.

I needed a smaller one for a smaller space for mostly reheating and quick things, and the price fit this time. First off it is claimed to be stainless - the door is, the rest is black - boo. It is quite loud - the manual says noise is normal - boo. The top gets super hot if used for 3-4 minutes - the manual says the top might get hot so don't put anything on the top - boo. There is plenty of steam escaping once the door is opened after use - the manual says steam is normal - boo. So the manual is perhaps full disclosure. How could such a nice larger model be so superior to this same brand smaller one which is not superior in my opinion.

I have the next smaller version that still works well. It's around 20 years old and doesn't make a lot of noise like many microwaves do when they get old.
