    disappointing countertop microwave.

    Microwave is very noisy while cooking food. Very loud humming sounds. Glass window in the front steams up inside, making it impossible to see food in the oven.

    very disappointed that my reward points were not used for this purchase. we spent a hour in the store and were told that my points would be used. i just received the bill. no points used or even posted on my account. poor company support.

    Just 2 months and stopped working. The outside gets very hot and not heating the food inside. Very disappointing to see GE product fail so quick. DO NOT BUY

    Hate the fact that you need to press lock to be able to remove the food ! Also makes a lot of noise when in use !

      Thanks for reaching out to us. You can disable the Child Resistant Door Operation if you should chose to do so. 1. Press and hold the “7” key for 3-5 seconds or until you hear a beep. Release.
      2. Press the “9” key. Release. 3. Press the “0” key. Release. There will be two shorts beeps and the display will flash "UnLo" to confirm the default condition has been updated successfully. You will no longer need to press Clear/Off to open the door at the end of a cooking cycle. -Vikki@GEAppliances GE_Appliances

    Rust in less than a year. It does its job for almost a year then it started to rust. Last purchased on Aug 2024. It's not even Aug 2025 and there's rust.

    This microwave makes loud noise when opening and closing. I also don't like the feature of unlocking the microwave first once it stopped instead of being able to open right away. After 2 months of using it, there are no under identified issues with this product.

      If you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave.       We are sorry to hear your microwave is loud. We recommend making sure your turntable is seated properly and not loose and causing the noise. We recommend reviewing the manual for tips on how to use your microwave. If you are cooking for a short period of time and just reheating, you may want to press the 30 second button several times. This makes it very quick and does a great job. It is our hope the more you use the microwave the more you will like it. GE_Appliances

    My GE microwave that I had for four years had to be replaced. I have always had GE microwaves and I wanted the same one since it was the perfect size for my counter. We brought it home and couldn’t believe how cheap it’s made now. To the point that it’s a safety hazard because the entire microwave slides when it’s opened. The top of the microwave is basically a piece of tin that bounces when touched. We returned it and purchased a Sharp microwave. I absolutely love it and would highly recommend it.

    Functional but carousel seems to be struggling. Safety lock is a PIA. Definitely not an upgrade from their previous model.

    Thank God my store has excellent managers. The MIcrowave worked for four months and then started making phantom noises from the rotating wheel. After sending it to the Best Buy service center, and the problem still hadn't been resolved, the store manager (Arthor) decided to replace it instead of making me deal with the manufacturer. That's old-school first-class service. I wouldn't recommend buying this microwave.

    3 weeks in and clock hast worked once, numerous times food is ice cold after few minutes , don’t buy.

    Doesn't work. Never worked straight out of the box (was replacing a similar microwave; this one wouldn't heat and the top buttons wouldn't press). The Best Buy 2-week return policy is so awful that by the time we figured out it didn't work it was too late to return it. Would think twice before buying this, and if you still want it, don't get it from Best Buy.
