Very disappointed in this unit. It is only 900 watts, a fact I could not find on the site before I ordered. It works as advertised but you must extend cooking time by 30-50% over what a food product suggests due to the low power. The "stainless" cabinet is anything but, every finger mark shows and is a real nuisance to clean off. Sadly I waited too long to return it. Be sure to read the return policy before you purchase on this site.

My old microwave decided to blow out on Thanksgiving day but waited till the last heat up... whew. Just in time for a new G.E. one on black Friday. love this microwave and appreciate the "END" indicator. picked it up the next day so had it in time for leftover heat ups.

I am extremely happy with the recommendation I received from Dan at Best Buy. The controls are accessible after the door is closed opposed to the other model I was considering. It is also much quiter than the older model we replaced. I choose Best Buy because they're sales staff always know the products so well!

This microwave has two deficits. The most inconvenient is that the Selection pad is black and is very difficult to see unless it is under a light in the kitchen. I am keeping a flashlight nearby. Secondly, it is quite loud, which is different from other microwaves. This dies not concern me, but could be a problem for some. However, it works well, keeps excellent time and is attractive.

Basic microwave features. Nice to have the default settings (1 minute, etc) but easy enough to custom time. Button to open door a little stiff.
