The control panel does not light either. Almost burned the house down twice!! You set the oven for 45 seconds and it changes to 45 minutes by itself. Happened another time when I set it for 30 seconds. It went to 30 minutes!! I would bring it back for a refund if I could carry it to The car to take it back to Best Buy!! GE brand.

Several presets too. Compact enough to fit nicely on the countertop but plenty of room for warming/cooking for a family!

Aesthetically it’s fine. It can boil cup of water in two minutes so that’s a plus. However, It is so noisy in our small kitchen that I wanted to return it. The timer has a decent feature in that it will continue to beep until you manually turn it off. There’s a learning curve there because you have to press the timer button again to turn it off rather than the end/cancel button our previous units used.
